Absolute USA 6X9PKBG 6 X 9 Inches Angled/Wedge Box Speakers, Set of Two (Black/Grey)

This is my same review I wrote for the speakers with a few changesI am using these Enclosures with the following, all purchased from Amazon, Pyle PTAU45 amplifer, Absolute USA 6X9PKBG 6 X 9 Inches Angled/Wedge Box Speakers, and Pioneer TS-A6992R 5-Way 6-Inch X 9-Inch 460-Watt Speaker.Shipping was fast to MD with standard shipping. It arrived via UPS, in 3 days, First thing I noticed the quality,Installed speakers into the enclosures on my kitchen table using a cordless drill and few other hand tools. I am using these enclosure indoors connected to my laptop and a Samsung Nexus smart phone ( also purchased on Amazon. I also have a Sirius receiver, a pc, and smart phone feeding the Pyle amplifier. It asks as a central switch between my music sources.The reason I am using these 6x9 as desktop speakers is because most powered speaker sound like crap. The drivers are too small, even the high end ones. They usually come with a subwoofer. Woofers are just that, the sound like a woof, woof. Which becomes annoying if you listen to it long enough.So how do I rate this setup? on a scale of 1 -10 perhaps a 8. Not as good as some other high end speakers I have but for my laptop, They are more than adequate. At the upper end of the volume control there is some distortion but that level is loud enough for my neighbors to call the police, so I won't be turning it up that high. I have not connected the speaker to one of my high end amplifiers to see if the distortion is from the Pyle or the speakers. They are too loud indoors at that level. I had a set of pioneer speakers in my last car. I chose the Pioneer because of their reputation and my previous experience. Over all I am satisfied with my choice, I know it sounds better than any self powered 3 or 4 inch driver. You really need to increase driver size to get a a decent sound.The enclosure quality is outstanding. Could use an upgrade for dampning material, but for the price they are outstanding quality.

These are probably the best manufactured 6x9 speaker boxes you can buy. They were bigger than I expected but definitely not a problem as I was looking for the largest box for better midrange and bass response. Boxes are nice and study made with 1/2 inch mdf which is more than enough for a 6x9. Every car will be different but I have a 1994 Mitsubishi diamante sedan and these fit on my back deck perfectly. Only issue is visibility out the rear window but it's not that bad. These boxes are definitely a steal.

These deliver much more than you would expect for the price. I've never heard such bass from any 6x9 before I installed them in these. Quality all around: from the construction, to the padding inside, to the connector terminals is simply superb.They do take up quite a bit of room though - if you're looking for the best sound and have all of the clearance in the world to work with, don't hesitate to get these; they're that good. If you're going to put them in a rear deck or inside of some single cab vehicle, I'd advise considering a few more options first.These are still without a doubt, some of the best boxes I have ever used.

Great sounding box for car speakers. Nice, warm, soft sound. Does so without detracting from sound quality. Kinda soft wood used in construction, but it's not intended to be used with a subwoofer. I am not able to compare these boxes to ones made of HDF, but I think they're great for the speakers that will fit them. Had no problems mounting the speakers tightly. More costly boxes would offer negligible improvements, at best, over these.

Boxes are well constructed don't know why the 2 tone boxes are less expensive than the solid color models but they are and that's a deal nearly $10 at the time of my purchase.Sound quality is excellent the fact that they already have poly fill in them is an added bonus.Great enclosures well constructed like others say if you want long drawn out bass resonance drill a hole in the back or side of the box start with a 1/2 hole and work your way bigger if needed .Overall everything is as expected for a 6x9Speaker box enclosure .I have included a full 360 view of the enclosures in my review as well.

Hey I got these for my JBL's 6 x 9's, for my vintage mustang fastback. I did put some more wool insulation inside to give them more bass. great product for the price and shipped in nice boxes.

Not having jumper wires to connect speakers to terminals is not a significant expense, it's a big inconvenience to track down the materials to make them.I finally ended up at a specialty stereo store that offered to make some jumper wires with the different sized + / - connectors. Turns out all the boxes they sold included the jumper connection wires.I thought maybe the manufacturer neglected to include the jumpers, but a couple other reviews mentioned the absence of jumper wires... interesting that several reviews mentioned the ease and speed of installation? Maybe Radio Shack would carry the jumpers? Other than the jumper wire issue they seem sturdy / heavy / and a little bigger than the the ones I bought at the specialty store for 20% more $ that actually fit my application better (a little smaller and wedged on both sides pointing up rather than horizontally). With jumper wires included, it took 15 minutes to install as opposed to a couple hours trying to find jumper wires.
