Not the best of plastic figures
Sadly these are not what I would class as very good WWII plastic figures on two counts. The first is the plastic is not great, the soldiers themselves need straightening up to stand up on their base and look very much like the plastic will break off bits - some of the guns are far from "gun barrel straight" either. The second is perhaps more a criticism of the designer/manufacturer, although can be true of other model manufacturers, and that is the diversity of the figures. It may be the WWII Chinese Army dished out swords and bugles to their troops, but do you need to have FIVE of them. I've collected many many over the years, started 1:32 scale by my dad and moved on to smaller. I've had Airfix, Matchbox, Revell, ESCI, all sorts, and these sadly are trailing all of them. Why these companies can't make a maximum of say four of one pose, I mean usually you might expect a rifleman kneeling, standing, a man with a machine gun standing or kneeling, but like your officers and man carrying a flag say, you don't need lots in the rarer and less useful poses (for wargamers) I don't know, a bit too much effort perhaps. Not the worst set I've ever bought, but right down that end. I think Matchbox British Commandos rank the best
