my plastic key fob case was broken- this one fit exactly- transferred my key/ controller and it works like brand new!

The metal of the key does not detach so if you need this to replace your "Already Cut" key and housing consider looking further.

This looks like a very nice key fob replacement shell. I was looking for just the shell because plastic broke at ring holder area. This has the shaft non removable so you will have to get it cut to copy yours then move the guts over. It is still cheaper than purchasing a brand new key. I still have to do this. I was hoping to just move the guts and shaft over to new shell, but doesn't work that way. Seem well made! -electronics moved over easily..took some adjustment to get lined up to work correctly. Found a locksmith to cut the Keyshaft. Overall about 80 dollars for this replacement, new battery and key cut. I figured I saved about 70 or 80. But it was some work...lol

This product was exactly what I needed to replace the current key case for my Honda. The dealer's parts person was able to cut the new keys and said the product was really good quality.

This does not allow you to simply switch your cut key with this new key fob. You'll have to get a new one cut. I was lucky and for my purpose was able to use half the new shell and half my existing one to accomplish my requirement. My old fob was "loose" and coming apart at the non-screw end. Now it's fixed. No Honda emblem anymore but no biggy..

Honda keys tend fall apart pretty easily. My key was already programmed and cut, I just needed a back. I was able to utilize the screw from the package to replace the key. The package also came with another key and a place to go for assistance.Overall it is a good price.

To be honest, I just needed the screw. But decided to replace the buttons and silicone pad on my key. Working just fine.
