its a hard box and does protect the scanner a lot better then the soft case. better then i expected.

I honestly love these case. Everything fits perfect.

I bought it and it was as stated

Sturdy enough to well protect foxwell code reader

But was able to fit my harbor freight OBD instead and just swapped cases. So it's a win win, sorta. Definitely much more solid case than the Harbor Freight one when I really want to protect the Launch more so.
