These bells are perfectg for my little Yorkie's collar. He's a wee one and we need to know where he is so this works well. I have purchased other types of bells - smaller and more lightweight that he would njust chew them off. These wildlife bells are not too heavy (a problem for little dogs, they must be lightweight) and loud enough to hear him in the house or across the yard without too much disruption. They come in a set of two so even if he wears one out we have a backup. Well worth the money!

Our dobies and dane have one each, on their collars. Makes it easy to keep track of where they are, especially at night. (completely fenced in yard, but black dogs at night are still hard to keep track of) They've learned that to go potty in the middle of the night, a head shake will ring the bell and wake me up, to get let out. Even though they look the same, they gave subtle differences in tone, and after a while, you can tell which dog you're hearing. Use a keyring split loop, to attach to collar. These things are as big as your thumb, (unless you're some kind of nancyboy) and can be heard for quite a distance.

Beautiful sound, reminds me of Christmas bells. Keeps my dog safe as I always know where she is when running around. Nice quality!

Ordered size small bells. Bell is very big and loud but also has pretty workmanship. For kitty you will not need 2 bells. Kitty took a couple of days getting used to the noise and stopped trying to get the collar off. So many cat toys have bells on them. It will take weeks for humans to get used to this bell, especially in the middle of the night.

Bought to place on cat collar. It is very attractive and loud to warn critters.

They're expensive... but worth it, I feel. Puts the near-useless, supplied-with-the-colla-type bells to utter shame. MUCH louder.Also, heavy duty/well built. Expect that they'll outlast my cat(s)!I bought one pair of the mid-size bells, thinking to use one-each, on my two cats; but eventually decided that the the younger, 'mighty hunter' version cat (Nacho) needed a full TWO bells.So... bought a pair of the small bells, this time, for him.Surprised to find that the smaller bells are pretty much as loud as the mid-sized ones.Also, little enough difference in tone (surprising, that) that I've never subconsciously/intuitively learned to differentiate between the cats' jinglings of the bells; even after adding the 2nd mid-sized bell back onto the collar of my larger/older cat.So... after considering the cost of the Rabies shot/tag ($15), the collar ($1@, in six-lot/Amazon), the custom, laser-engraved, epoxy paint-filled name tag ($10@/Amazon), and then the pair of bells ($19 per pair, I think it was, here)...I've got about $45 invested in the outfitted collar; per cat!And, sure enough... after about only a week...Nacho returned one evening... W/O his collar!Arrgghh!!But... fortunately, I found it just where I thought it might have been shed, next door; where my cats commonly like to hang out, when outdoors.I think I loosened the collar too much, when I noticed Nacho scratching at it, in apparent annoyance, after having first put it on him (no previous collar experience. No prob/other cat).I think, while scratching vigorously at the collar (behavior directly observed by me), he likely caught his foot in it, yanked in panic... and popped the safety release of the collar.So... considering the investment... I ordered (Amazon, again; of course) some Samsung (to work with my Samsung phone) Galaxy SmartTag Bluetooth locator tags.So now... each collar has an additional (yet!) $20 invested in it!But... in addition to gaining info on my cats' activities (plus other advantages), I can find the durn thing, if either cat manages to 'lose' one, again.Hopefully. :-) :-)Highly recommend these bells, despite the expense.

These bells make just the right amount of sound--not too low--just right. My dog wears them in our big yard to scare away critters. She doesn't seem to mind the sound.

I really love the look and sound of these bells, except when I'm trying to sleep. But my concern is my cats hearing. They're right next to his head and it makes me concerned that they may be too loud and harmful to his hearing. I'm going to the vet soon for his check up so we'll see what she says.
