Spa like facial without the Spa price
I ordered the human race three step starter kit, and I was a little skeptical since it is celebrity endorsed. I usually don't jump on the celebrity endorsement wagon but I thought I would try this. Let me first start off by saying that it really does feel like a luxurious experience on your face or a spa treatment. The system includes two cleansers and a moisturizer. The first is a rice powder cleanser. Basically what you do with that is you shake a little bit into your hands your wet hands rub your hands together and then rub it on your face. I noticed this is excellent for removing my makeup. After you rinse it off you follow it with a human race Lotus enzyme exfoliator. This is really gentle on my skin. Which is nice. I have used a lot of exfoliators for my skin and my face and this is really gentle. Once you get done with that then you use the human race humidifying cream. This is so thick and so creamy. And a little bit goes a long way. This really hydrated my face. It felt so luxurious. Now when it comes to the packaging, I find everything dispenses so easily. I really like how everything comes out of the bottles, there's no guess work to it. And everything is refillable. So you don't have to purchase the entire system again, you can just purchase each individual item that you need. Do I feel this is pricey, absolutely. But my face feels phenomenal when I use this. It doesn't leave it sticky or greasy. My skin feels healthy.

Love the ease and speed of treatment wtih high quality results
This is a really lovely set of face care that is easy to use and doesn't take much time to use. It is expensive, but the quality seems to match the price point. Taking each item separately: Cleanser: it's a powder! I've never seen this before, but I kind of like it. You just mix it with a little water and it foams up a little bit, just like a regular cleanser. Feels like it’s easy to control the amount you use, and a little jar holds a lot (though it is oddly shaped, and it's not clear WHY). Exfoliator: this was my favorite - I couldn't really detect any beads or sandy feel that is normal in exfoliator steps, but it worked really well and left my skin feeling hydrated as well as soft and smooth from the exfoliation. Moisturizer: it does its job without being greasy. It’s smooth and lightweight and soaked in quickly. I didn't really feel like I was glowing with hydration after using, but it was nice enough For all of the products, I couldn’t detect any scent, so it doesn’t compete with any other products that you might use. The containers are sturdy and solid, and refillable. The braille labels on the lids also serves as a nice grip when you are removing the lids. Overall, a really nice, high-quality treatment.

Elevated Skincare Without the Complication
I ordered this Humanrace trio, and it truly feels like a luxury experience, even though it is such a simple routine. Cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize. That is it. No complicated layering or guessing what comes next. The cleanser is my favorite. It comes out as a fine, textured powder, which you can see in my photo. You shake a small amount into your wet hand, rub it on your face, and it foams up nicely. It feels gentle but effective, and my skin feels clean without stripping it. The texture is unique and fun to use. The exfoliator is creamy and mostly smooth, with just a touch of grit. It dispenses easily with the push-top packaging. It feels gentle on my skin but still leaves it noticeably smoother and brighter. It is not harsh or scratchy, which I appreciate. The moisturizer has a soft, cushiony consistency. It is creamy but not heavy, and it absorbs well without leaving my face greasy. My skin feels hydrated and balanced afterward. I really like the push dispense design. It feels modern and clean, and it makes it easy to control how much product you use. Another feature I appreciate is the refill system. When the product runs out, you can discard the inner cartridge and replace it rather than buying a completely new set. That feels both practical and more sustainable. This trio is definitely on the pricey side. That said, the quality, the packaging, and the overall experience make it feel worth it to me. If you want a streamlined routine that still feels elevated and well-designed, this is a beautiful option.

Very expensive drug store stuff
I really wanted to like this line but it just doesn’t wow me at all. The powder cleanser is the best of the three products, followed by the exfoliator (which is just fine) and the moisturizer. The cream is a thick consistency, but the product sits on top of the skin rather than absorbing so there’s very little actual moisture to the moisturizer. After the first night of use, I woke up with a pimple. I continued for the next couple weeks and breakouts were more frequent. When I discontinued the cream, the breakouts cleared up. The exfoliator is fine but there are better products out there for a much, much better price point. The cleanser was the best of the three, but it wasn’t that remarkable. Powder cleansers are handy for travel and better for the environment, which is nice. But it took a double wash to get my tinted moisturizer off. All in all, it feels like you’re just paying (a lot) for a celebrity brand but the products themselves are not anymore innovative than something you can get at the drugstore. Packaging is pretty and I appreciate the effort toward sustainability and eco-friendliness but it’s all for naught if the products are duds.

Simple and effective all in one skincare for anyone that is refillable.
There is a lot to like about this Humanrace Three Step Starter Routine Kit. It keeps skincare down to a minimum while addressing multiple concerns all at once, but also keeping it simple for either guys or gals to use this with no scent issues (thankfully). I am especially glad that there is a sustainability bonus of these being refillable. The kit includes a cleanser, exfoliator, and cream. What they do right is that the products are gentle enough for even those with sensitive and dry skin to use...just use less and massage softly like I did and you will have no issue. Feels like just enough grit to clean but not damage the skin barrier. The cream is just the right consistency to moisturize and if you have dry skin, apply a thicker layer. Again no added scents or colors, simple products to keep your skin in check. Just wish the price overall ($146 at time of review) was more reasonable for those who might be on the fence on trying this starter kit but because everything is full size...it is more worth it in the long run.

Perfect for active skin!
I’ve been using the Humanrace Routine Kit for a few weeks now and the results are undeniable. I’m over 50 and a distance runner, so my skin takes a beating from the elements. I started exfoliating twice a week as directed, and while it took a little time to kick in, my skin looks completely rejuvenated. It looks younger, healthier, and honestly fresher. I’ve even had people tell me I look different lately. If you’re looking for a simple routine, this is it - the kit comes with everything you need to start a routine. Highly recommend.

Vegan and cruelty-free
This set arrived in a storage box that is flimsy and prone to damage, which I found disappointing considering the price. Because of that, I do not recommend it as a gift — I'd be embarrassed to gift something so banged-up looking, even if it does cost nearly $150. The 3-step skincare system seems overly complicated. Two steps are done daily, one a few times a week. The products are not intuitive to apply — if I have to read a manual to figure out how to cleanse and moisturize, you're doing too much. The packaging, however, is sustainable in that it can be refilled. Plus, if you enjoy designs that innovate and are novel, I think you'd like it; I'm just old-fashioned. I'm not an expert, but I can spot ingredients I've read are good for your skin according to dermatologists. I like that there's no fragrance. Only the exfoliant stood out as being potentially irritating, and I thought it was too strong, so I don't think I'll be using it. The formulations seem targeted at a wide range of people in terms of age and skin type. I want to give credit for the choice the brand made to keep all their products cruelty-free and vegan. As per the representative who responded to my questions on their website, "Humanrace is cruelty-free and we are certified by Leaping Bunny. All of our formulas are vegan, which means they do not contain animal or animal-derived ingredients." Indeed, each bottle has a leaping bunny seal on the bottom. There's also braille on the box and on each bottle for visually impaired people. Overall, this is clearly a thoughtfully designed product of high quality. I appreciate the commitment to reducing harm to animals and the environment. You can tell they really worked on sustainability and inclusivity, though an affordable price tag would have been even more inclusive.
