This is your standard Metal Halide light for a 400w ballast that can be used either horizontally or vertically. The pricing is good and the light works well for growing. If the garden doesn't work out you've got the best reading light around.

The bulbs are very bright so like very much. But one of the bulbs were defective and there was no information to contact to return! So now we have one bulb just laying on a shelf.

well the first 400 watt HID bulbs after only a few hours of operationthe lite would go out, then with out doing anything it would come back on. This would happen all day I notified the company after I explained what was happening they replaced the bulb However, the replacement bulbwhich was installed 12/30/2010, its starting to do the same...PS we even put in a new balast.

if you want a good MH this one works great, I teamed it up with the Apollo light kit as a replacement bulb and I am very happy. the way the bulb got shipped was very hap hazard though. I feel lucky it arrived in working order , these bulbs break easy. I did speak to them about packing. easy return but not when you need your bulb.

This is a good choice for those shops that still require this type of bulb. Excellent price and service and would recommend this to others that are looking for these

Good product for the price..... little bit of debris in the bottom of the light or it would of got a five star. Fast delivery also.

I had read some of the other posts about people not really being to happy with this item. My original bulbs that were installed in the building have lasted 9 years. I have about 25 in the warehouse and they are finally starting to fail slowly. These replacements work perfect and the price can not be beat.

Works fine. Although I had to return 3 of the 4 order because the bulbs were broken internally.
