A great solar panel that delivers over 100 watts
I got a really good price on this panel so I gave it a try. We had a 21 degree blue sky day in Michigan so I hooked the panel up. I lined the panel up accurately on the sun and it was pushing 118 watts.

Well built and reliable
I had the need to build a exhaust fan for my small greenhouse. I decided to have it solar powered and run on 12v instead of running extension from the house. I have watch a fair number of videos with RV'ers and Van Life travelers that spoke very highly about the Renogy 100 watt panel. I did some additional research and decided on still going with Renogy. They may not be the least expensive, but I can see how they got the great reputation. The panel came in simple but sturdy packaging. I unboxed and tested right away and provided the proper voltage. The panel is a quality build. It has provided reliable charging power to the small battery bank I have in the greenhouse that powers the exhaust fan and a couple of other USB fans I have in the greenhouse to move the air around. I have it attached to and small frame I built out of galvanized angle iron. (If anyone likes the look, all I did was buy the angel iron set used to secure garage door tracks to the ceiling. The sizes in the package worked out perfectly. That, some nuts and bolts and your good to go.) I have purchased a second panel for the additional power I will need for a water pump for the greenhouse. I would recommend the panel to anyone who wants a small panel. The panel prices seem to move up and down a bit so watch the prices. Update 5/30/21 I am a bit frustrated. My second panel came damaged (during shipping) and the replacement panel that was even more damaged with shattered glass. Both were handled by the USPS. It would appear that the panels are dropped or slammed into things when shipped. Amazon only offered the return on the second replacement and I will have to reoder the panel as a new order. Note to AMAZON - Don't ship these using the USPS. The other shippers may cost more, but two returns are not making it cheaper.... Update 8/19/21 Just a quick update. I received the second panel in June and it was in perfect shape. I have had the green house fans running all summer without any issues. Refund from the second returned panel was taking longer than the allotted time frame. I contacted customer service through the website chat function and the rep was great!! 5 stars. Responsive and took care of crediting my account right then.

Best price at $62 I have seen Nov 27th, 2024
Best price at $62 I have seen Nov 27th, 2024. I have seen some reviews where others have bought this same panel model at $50 but this is the best price I have bought at. They have worked great for me. I have never used any other solar panel so I can't compare. The best power out I have seen is 85 Watts per solar panel but I believe I could get just past 90 Watts if I change my arrangement to the best 100% best facing area but where I have them just works out for me. I am also using a Renogy MPPT charge controller with a few. I also have a cheaper brand MPPT charge controller and can see huge difference in power output with the same panels. I don't have enough experience to say Renogy MPPT charge controllers are the best, but I can say not all MPPT charge controllers are the same. I am still picking up alot with solar and believe just like anything else, one person can have a great experience while another has a bad experience with the same item. Check reviews and check your item as soon as you can to return if it doesn't work right. Go with what works for you. Where I live, power is cheap but I like having a medium sized emergency system.

disappointed
Renogy is a very good company and puts out some wonderful products. I recently bought a solar panel, and was truly disappointed when it did not come with mounting brackets. :(

Easily pulls in six volts when I try and cover the panel
Easy to hook up. Usually gets 6 volts when I try and cover it with a blanket with the sun shining right through the blanket to the solar panel. My maximum in Minnesota is 18.19 volts on my panel that I got "analogy 100 watt" seems to work okay that was surprising that it was class c and not class a or b which I I am used to. I did not know they sold "class c" solar panels without them being labeled as such. Everything works great no problems.I purchased it because it should last for many years to come. 6 months so far I use it to top off the battery in the car in the back seat during the winter times when I use a lot of battery power and don't get a chance to put the voltage back in just going to the local store or coffee shop Little short drives are hard on the battery and if I can put the electrical volts back in but I'm just making short hops from here to there I don't have to worry about a dead battery when it's time to go to work.so the whole reason I use it is it because of my make short hops from here to there doesn't give a chance for the car to charge the battery back up over time I make a lot of short hops when I'm not working start the car shut it off lock it start the car shut it off lock it talk to car so you have to off lock it if it doesn't drive over on the road for a long length of time nobody will easily go dead when it doesn't get a chance to recharge itself.

Great upgrade
So convenient. I live in a van and have been using foldable solar panels , taking them off when driving and moving them around throughout the day if I parked in the shade. These however were super easy to attach to my roof racks , I used an unconventional mounting by using paracord through the mounting holes and tying and securing them against my rack. The consistent 50watts in throughout the day when I’m driving or parked is amazing, I don’t need to worry about not having consistent power now. The connection cords are easy to clip to multiple cords and connecting other panels. Even in shade and cloudy weather it gets a decent amount in and the panels are sturdy and easy to clean
