Great Quality and great detail for all new characters.
Awesome looking hardcover. this is not a guide or walk-through of any kind. it is a rough overview of the game and detailed book that shows the moves of ALL characters that were released with the game , it is a great introduction to the 70+ characters roster for anyone new to smash brothers or getting reacquainted with the smash brothers series. I haven't really had the chance to play a console system regularly in 6 years and I found it both a wonderful quality book to go with the Switch Christmas we are giving our daughter this year and helpful for myself.

Ultimate companion for the ultimate Smash Bros.
What a wonderful send-off guide for Prima. It's clear how much love and care went into crafting this strategy guide, covering all aspects of every character and mode. The writers are very knowledgeable of the competitive aspect of Smash and explain in great detail how to pull off pro mechanics and maneuvers. Just a reminder that this guide is mainly centered around the fighters; while it does include explanations for all the modes and optimal routes and spirit teams through World of Light, you might want to check out a Wiki guide like IGN for boss strategies and Classic Mode character unlocks.

Beautiful and Helpful
I think the guide is not very useful when the Internet has all the answers, but the book itself is wonderfully printed: full character arts and detailed move guides for every character (excluding those found in downloadable content) make this a great table piece for Smash fans. If you just want the information, though, I'd recommend looking on Wikis and forums online.

Complete, well written and well organized
My nine-year-old spends a lot of time pouring over the details in this encyclopedic volume. And he's doubly benefitting. He's doing better at the game, and he's learning valuable referencing skills...how to use an index, how to research a topic, cross-referencing, all that stuff.

Beautiful book, but lacks a few things
Back during the Smash Bros Brawl days I would always keep the manual because it showed all the special moves and different things you can do in the game. Now, Nintendo stopped giving manuals, meaning I can’t see the moves of the fighters explained on paper. I bought this book just because of this nostalgia feel, and I am happy I did! Not only is it organized and explains thoroughly everything you need to know about Smash as a game, but it also explains the moves of each fighter in depth. The front of the book has the panoramic view of all the fighters and it’s awesome! The only thing I wished it did, was to give more information about World of Light and other modes, because all it shows are the maps of the different areas you go in.

Excellent Gift for a 10 year old Boy
I bought this guide book as a gift for my 10 year old boy and it was a huge success! He was very excited to receive it and the amount of content and awesome pictures made this a great product in my opinion. I am not much of a "gamer" but from what I could tell and have been told by my son, it provides a lot of great info and strategies for navigating the game, as well as tips and tricks for secrets and hidden fun stuff! Overall, I am pleased with the purchase.

Great Guide!
I was sad to see Prima was going out of business, so i picked this up partly for the cool hardcover and artwork but also for a bit of nostalgia. The internet and Youtube are killing traditional guidebooks, but there’s something fun about the tangibility, the art, and the smell of a real book. Pouring over pages and having all the info in one easily digestible place may be old school, but I certainly enjoy it.

This book is for competitive players.
The book has so much details for every fighters in the game. Each moves were explained very well. On the other hand, there is no walkthrough or guide for World of Light and I'm very disappointed. Still, the book is good and I recommend it for players who want to be good in smash bros.
