Diaflex Diameter Tape Measure with Flexible Steel Blade and Plastic Case, Dual Reading in CM and Inches with 2m Range and Blank Space Before Zero - Measure Diameter of Trees and Pipes

This tape measure works. It's small, effective, resists deformation of the ribbon, and seems to be very durable. The casing is plastic, but it seems to be high quality. I don't anticipate it cracking or anything anytime soon. It's about 2 inches (5cm) in diameter and 1.5 cm thick. It's small enough to stick in a pocket without it being bulky, and seems to be sturdy enough to not worry about it breaking. I've had troubles with similar tape measures and the end of the ribbon wearing off over time. This one is made out of metal and has the square ring on the end of it riveted on. I've had it for about six months or so now, and everything still looks great.I like the measuring uses that it covers. The diameter feature is pretty cool. It covers both imperial and metric. There is no locking mechanism, but that isn't important to me given what I use it for. I have other tools to cover longer distances and needs. I'm hopeful that it will be the last tape measure that I'll ever have to buy.
