Washable Coffee Filter

I love these filters because it keeps me from having to buy paper filters for my coffeemaker, which I had a way of forgetting to buy until I was nearly out. The cone filters are also an item that although it isn't impossible to find, not everyone in my area carries them, they will just carry the traditional type filter. So when I saw these reusable filters I was overjoyed knowing that it would be one less item to have to buy. I hate having to buy things that I'm just going to throw away! Now I can't say that they fit my coffeemaker perfectly, even though my brand is mentioned in the description. The top will not close all the way down like it should. But it still works just fine so it's okay with me. The filter has a fine mesh so that no grounds can possibly pass through. When it has cooled, I just empty the grounds and wash in soapy water or just rinse well, turn upside down and let it dry. Mine is sturdy enough, not flimsy at all and was packaged in its own box. It appears to me that this would last for years. This just seems like a smart, eco-friendly thing to do. I did receive this coffee filter at a special price so that I could try it out and give my honest opinion about its use. I wish I had found this years ago! I am so glad I will never have to search for cone filters again!

I have used this before, and it works very well. The only slight problem is that after about 4-6 months, after washing it, the top of the screen will become loose. It doesn't effect the flavor of the coffee though, which is good.
