A well balanced, very clear, detailed and robust audio performance with crystal highs and a tight bass that can go deep. Vocals are as well revealed. Steel is used in the headband, covered by padding and a silicone type finish. Clamping force and a slight lack of earphone padding mean I'm always aware of pressure on my ears. When first worn, that pressure is intense. It does relax with use. These headphones get audio right in terms of not being bombastic nor lush nor harsh or fanatically 'audiophile'. But as to that clamping force, Beoplay H2 are far more comfortable to wear and audio quality there is on a par, losing out just on detail and general fidelity, then screwing it all up with a colour scheme and use of cloth that takes all of a second to collect dirt. The u-Jays aren't foldable and don't come with a case or bag to protect them when not in use. They are a comparatively 'upscale' headphone from a brand that doesn't have much distribution or profile in the UK. Originally priced at £200+ you can hear that quality. But 4 stars due to the clamping force, which isn't quite torture chamber, but is far more noticeable than is usual for on-ear cans.
