Cookin' For Trouble: Recipes, Art and Humor All in One Rawking Package
Let me start off by saying I don't buy many cookbooks anymore. But Nadia G's books are not just cookbooks, not any more than Bitchin' Kitchen is just a cooking show. When you combine the practical instruction of a cooking instructor, the zaniness of a seasoned comedienne and the hotness of a rock star, you get the genius that is Nadia Giosia.Usually you buy a cookbook and you get recipes, some tips about cooking and if you're lucky, a few pictures. If you're even luckier, those pictures might be in color. Cookin' For Trouble puts all other cookbooks to shame! The book is as beautiful, colorful and fun as the author herself. Every page is guaranteed to make you hungry, laugh and say, "Wow!" at the gorgeous photos and design. Between the amazing pictures of the food, the images, fonts and overlays on every single page and the incredible photographs of Nadia that mark each chapter, this book could just as easily be sold in the Art section of the bookstore. Case in point is my favorite photo in the chapter Depression Desserts which looks more like a museum-quality painting than a picture in a cookbook.Cookin' For Trouble is hysterical. Nadventures, Nadvice (which actually contains serious life lessons), contributions from the BK Crew, and even the recipe instructions will keep you laughing so much, you might forget you are supposed to cook. But don't forget because the recipes are incredible. There's something for everyone with chapters like (Dysfunctional) Family Pizza Night and Nonna Recipe Showdown, Gluttony G-Style and Makeover Meals, Bitchin' Booty Camp Xtreme and my personal favorite, Veg-Head Extravaganza. There is also a love letter to Nadia's fans in the form of a Community Chapter with recipes, photos and quotes from the BK Community fan base. And of course, there is an Italian Slang Dictionary so you can learn the difference between "Shkiaff" and "Shkoff."It's no surprise that Nadia Giosia is a star on the rise. Beauty, humor and deliciousness describe the book as well as the author. Cookin' For Trouble should be on your holiday gift list for everyone including yourself. A la Prossima!

Haven't found a bad recipe in the book yet!
The first time I watched Bitchin' Kitchen, I was immediately hooked. "Shkiaffing together" her eccentric personality, quirky delivery of her culinary wisdom, and some of the most interesting recipes I've seen in a while, her show really gives the current cooking show genre a needed kick in the "teet".This book brings all of this together in a portable form; each episode from the TV show forms the chapters of this book, but more recipes are added to each chapter, presumably the ones that didn't make the cut for the show, but are still awesome nonetheless. Add that in with more side commentary from The Spice Agent, Panos, Hans, and Nadia herself, and you have a cookbook that is not only useful, but also a Bitchin' read in and of itself, you "newrdz"! (The slang dictionary she includes is also fun, I'm having a blast with it anyway...)I've only had this cookbook for about a month, and I've already made "all kinds" of recipes from its pages, all of which received rave reviews. So far we've "shkoffed":Juicy Roasted ChickenGorgonzola Risotto with PortabellaBalsamic Baby Back Ribs with Truffled Baked PotatoesAged Cheddar Cauliflower SoupCreamy Cream-less Carrot Ginger SoupNo Bake Cream Cheese Peanut Butter PieCrazy Rich Linguine AlfredoTiramisu CupcakesAnd they've all been simply delicious, and relatively easy to make. The recipe will warn you if it is an easy or intermediate level of difficulty. Even the intermediate meals won't leave you "kerfuffled" when preparing them. And "tsaketa"! There is my review of Cookin' For Trouble. Totally worth the money to get the extra recipes, extra commentary, and basically just extra of everything Nadia G. The only problem I've had with this book is deciding whether to make her Dirty Carbonara, Nonna's Penne Al Forno, Sartu di Patate, or Spicy Chicken Barley Risotto w/Dried Currants and smoked gouda for dinner tonight...

Can’t wait to use it,
Just got the book, Love the recipes and can’t wait to make them, however the book came damaged. so 4 stars instead of 5 the front cover has some scratches, the back cover has a massive crease in the corner, the spine looks like it was opened farther then it should have been. For a “new” book It’s got the quality of a used book.

Just like her show, excellent recipes and funny! I love it!
I used to love Nadia’s TV show, “Bitchin Kitchen”. Her recipes are fantastic and she is very comical! This cookbook is simply the print version of her show. There are funny stories with the recipes, and she will keep you laughing as you read it. If you are familiar with Nadia, you’ll know she is an excellent Italian cook. Her recipes are easy to follow with accurate instructions and measurements. The pictures are beautiful and makes her food look as good as they taste. Each recipe explains the process and she tells you about the meal. She explains Italian slang and About the spices she uses. This is an excellent cook book! I love this cookbook!

WOW - What a girl - and she can cook too
After seeing Nadia on TV it was an obvious step to buy the book. This girl has a whole new way to start you cooking, and the recipes are usually delicious despite the obscurity of some of the ingredients. Do be selective - there are a few that are below par, but it is usually obvious before you start if you have a look at the ingredients closely. The Italian family recipes are solid comfort food.
