Inexpensive replacements
When replacing the tip, remove the old tip and tap the now empty tip of the pen gently against a surface. Gently. The old tip may have left some debris in the hole, and this debris will make the replacement tip leave "ghosting" on the writing surface. Inexpensive replacements. They work as expected. Cost very little and seem to be very durable.
