I bought this after hand surgery which resulted in wearing a sling, so a poncho would be easier to dress and navigate. I like the color and color pattern, which is consistent with the pic in the ad. The poncho thickness is towards the thin side, great for SF weather, but not for colder climates or a cool breezy ball game or concert. The wool is soft, and unlike other reviews, I didn’t find it malodorous. I wear a lot of dark colors, so the shedding is annoying, thus 3 stars.

What I like the most is that it is very light weight but still keeps the cold out. I highly rate it for quality for the money.

To begin with, this item came up on a search when I was specifically looking for a HOODED poncho. The image on the site is deceptive. It seems to suggest there is a hood. There isn't. The fabric is thin and may only provide a modest degree of warmth indoors, or on a balmy spring day. There is an unpleasant odor to the fabric and the string to fasten it at the neck is so short it's utterly ridiculous. Not useable. Will return. What a waste of time.

It’s very light and comfortable to wear when you need something to keep you warm.
