Very Inspiring! *by C***M on Reviewed in the United States on 16 May 2014* Silver Boxes: The Encouragement Gift by Florence Littauer is based on Ephesians 4:29 which says "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear" (ESV). In this book you will learn how to gift others with words of encouragement. Florence writes, "When our words come out of our mouths, they should be like little presents all wrapped up to be given away." Those words are like little silver boxes with bows on top; treasures that last beyond the present moment in time.What would happen if you started a "silver box ministry" and blessed others with your words? The overhead cost is low and the return on investment would exceed your expectations. In giving to others and following the command to love one another, you are truly blessed. Start giving people "verbal gifts with bows on top" as you follow the method outlined in this book. I really enjoyed learning about her husband Fred, who has a Cosmetics Counter Ministry!I'd recommend this book as an essential to any Christian library. It's a good message of edifying others and includes many examples of how to become a vessel of encouragement.
