Boonie Packer Safari Swivels

I gave them 2 stars because they are functional, but they are a pita to install and remove from the rifle if you are used to using just about any other swivel out there (Uncle Mike's for instance). They just function differently, and the spring tension required to push them open combined with the small diameter pin you have to push on means it's trying to poke thru your skin while removing or installing them. And no, I'm not some tender skinned green horn. I work for a living and have pretty tough hands. These things are just poorly designed. The only advantage of these over UM's swivels is, for the safari sling the bigger loops of these makes installing them on the sling itself easier that UM's. But that's where it all ends. I guess if you never remove your sling from the rifle then it would all be good. Not the case for me.

They swivels work great. Easy to install.

I used these on my safari sling. Worked well.

Very solid. and safe to use from what I can tell. I haven't used it in the field yet, but I tested it on my Tica .270 bolt action and it works as I expected. Better than some others I have had in the past.
