Five Ten Men's Team VXi Climbing Shoe

First off, it’s 5.10, so usually runs true to street shoes. And this show isn’t any different. This shoe is phenomenal. It’s a little difficult to get on, but fits like a glove (but comfortably) while on. It’s still a slipper, so it’s not too great in the arch support area, but the rubber is quality, it’s aggressive, and the toe box is perfect. For an aggressive shoe, it’s also surprisingly comfortable while climbing, although I’d never wear it for much longer.

This is an interesting slipper but it is very specific in its uses. It's super soft and sensitive. I've had a pair for ~3 months. The fit is true to street size; I wear a 10 street and a 10 in this shoe which makes it very snug but not uncomfortable. I can wear it for long periods of time. You need to get used to taking this on and off; you fold back the heel to get the forefoot in before pulling the heel on. For comparison 10 is a painful fit for me in the Blackwings, so go about a half size smaller than Blackwings/Dragons. It's the same last but the rubber is softer so the fit is more forgiving. The heel is the larger Dragon heel and not the smaller Blackwing heel.You won't be edging in this shoe. The outer edge especially is basically useless. It's just too soft. The inner edge is usable with "smedging" but not as well as a stiffer shoe. Like the Futura, with this shoe you end up toeing into everything. The Futura offers more toe support, though. This shoe will really work out your big toe. Smearing of course works great in this shoe, as does toeing in, but don't believe the walks-up-glass hype.There is generous (though very thin) toe rubber and toe hooks are fantastic. Heel hooks are iffy. On tiny, marginal heel hooks this shoe works well. The sticky soft rubber digs into tiny crimp-sized edges. The only catch is the heel fit is a bit baggy. But the heel fit is low profile around the ankle so on bigger hooks you will often find rock digging directly into your achilles tendon quite painfully (for comparison, I don't experience this with the Shamans or Solutions).

Hands down my favorite climbing shoe.

well let me first say i haven't even tried these shoes because i wear a 9.5 in normal shoe and a 9 in my other 5.10 pair of climbing shoes. I ordered a 9 in these and they were literally like an inch smaller then my other pair of climbing shoes the same size, I like my shoes tight, but I couldn't even put this one on, so i highly recommend ordering your street shoe size, but from the feel and look i was impressed. The rubber is noticeably stickier just from the feel. and the shoe appears quality and is way more flexible than my stealth c4 rubber. I can't wait to try them.

I wear a 12 in my street shoes -- I ordered a 12 in the Team VXi real tight fit. they are very comfortable out of box! I went for a climb at the local gym here is what I experienced:1) Smearing is unbelievable out of this world2) Small foot holds can be a challenge so your foot placement must be very very precise does not edge well unless you are doing a smear edge combo shoe wraps around very good because its thin and flexible. I my opinion they missed the mark maybee the rubber is ok if it were on a stiff last3)Cons= super thin rubber, rubber wears very fast, too thin and flexible to really stand up hard while edging make foot feel unstable. I gave mine away for free two months after trying them,

One size down from street shoe worked for me.

通常履いているサイズの1〜1.5cm上がこのシューズの適正サイズ。他にはない柔らかいソールが気に入って、ずっとこのシューズを愛用しているので、引き続き販売してほしいです。

攻めたらマズイとは聞いていましたので、ジャストサイズを買ったつもりでしたが予想以上にゆったりした作りで靴の中に爪先が少し余る感じがありました。かなり柔らかく、履き口もよく伸びるので素足実寸値に等しいか少し小さめのサイズを選んでも良いと思います。当方素足実寸24.3cmでUS7.5を購入しましたが、US7が良かったなと後悔しております。。
