The real brand of this saddle is Aukmont (other models of this brand are on sale on Amazon).This saddle is similar to the Brooks B66 (double rail) model, but the similitude stops here :-). The main appeal (and reason why bought this saddle) is that the seat is made of synthetic material, impervious to getting wet in a sudden downpour... Brooks only uses their "Cambium" synthetic material on certain, non classical sprung models :-(I am not saying that this saddle is of bad quality, but I cannot say it's in the 'top tiers' either; so my expectations are not all too high. But it feels comfortable to the sit bones and does the job for me when I don't want to use my Brooks because I have to ride through foul weather - or foul neighborhoods.An interesting feature is that the nuts and bolts of this saddle are SAE - usually bike stuff is metric. Tip: Before the first use, wipe the seat surface *gently* with 0000 steel wool and "break" the edges with 200-300 grit sandpaper. Your pants will appreciate it.And, being a "classical sprung" saddle, its maximum comfort works only in *upright* riding position.

Great deal for such a cool seat. I took the guts out of the seat clamp and switched it with my old stuff on the original seat to make it fit the smaller seat post of my older bike. Very authentic and not too shiny to show up the look of my old bike.

I wanted a synthetic product that could hold up if left out doors. I was worried about rain, but I should have been worried about wear and tear from minimal use over a few months. The material is now disintegrating even though it has yet to get wet and is generally protected from the sun. It has the vintage look I was going for, but becoming a little too vintage now. Avoid.

This sheet is not the same as described. Does not look like picture when I unbox a seat it look like it was for a 10-speed bike way too small for a beach cruiser
