Recipes were very well written, clear, and easy to follow. When describing techniques unfamiliar to Western cook, Julie took the time to describe these techniques in detail. She also described what you should see or feel to determine when a particular cooking step was complete. I also enjoyed the little stories about Lebanon that were peppered throughout the recipe book. It gave one a strong feeling for her love of the country, its traditions and its cooking and her joy in sharing this with others.
