The 8" screen covers enough 'territory' so that sentences and phrases can be seen at once. The magnification is adjustable so that my mom can chose exactly what is right for her. She can also chose a background/text color combination that is best for her reading comfort. It is expensive, but giving her the ability to read makes it worth the expense.

I bought it the first time, and it worked great, but then it quit working. I called customer service, and they attempted top troubleshoot it over the phone, and when that did not work, they said they would send me a new one, but it would take several weeks before I would get the new one. After about a week, I was desperate to get another one because it had worked so week, so I decided to go ahead and buy a second one, thinking I could have one at home and leave one in my office once the replacement arrived. The new one arrived, and I used it for a few weeks, and then my replacement arrived, so for a brief time, I had two that worked. Then my my new onr quit working. I should have called to replace it, but I had already thrown awy the box and packing material, so I decided I would just be fine with the new one. BIG MISTAKE. A few weeks later, the new one quit working. I should have tried to get that one replaced, but agai, I didn't have the box or packing materials, and not being a person who returns things, it just seemed like too much troublr to try to return it. the worst part is that when the product works, it is amazing. But it just doesn't work for long.

**Q: How does the magnification up to 30x work? are the settings preset choices or can i customize up to 30x?**
A: I’m not sure what you are asking. I use the presets using the button on the right. I did not customize nor did I know it was an option. If you have a branch of the Light House Guild available to you, they may be able to help. There is one in NYC and one in Chicago; there may be others.

Good device i bought to my son who has problem in optic nerve it is good one but i have problem in charging It needs 8 hours to charge 50%i font know if this one normal or what
