I'd like to read a 128GB SDXC card in my Thinkpad Expresscard slot.** A: I put one of these adapters into a Sony Vaio VPCF1 1st-generation-i7 laptop with a [red] Samsung 512 GB microSDXC EVO Plus card. I use the card to hold my torrents so the mechanical hard drive won't get filled up. The card registers 476 GB, and it's so stuffed it only has 23 GB free. Glad I can confirm the adapter works up to 512 GB. The adapter sticks out a few millimeters, not a problem. And the vendor should update the marketing information to confirm the adapter is OK for higher capacity cards. Today 512 GB, tomorrow 1 TB. Will 1 TB work?? **Q: Would this work with Sony pmw-200 Camcorder?** A: It might. I believe the factor is what speed the card that you are writing to is. Hope to test 256GB soon. *by J***R on April 28, 2015* Works exactly as described but not exactly how I wanted to use it. Current generations of the Macbook Pro have a SDXC slot. My older Macbook Pro has the Expresscard slot that was basically useless. Placing a SDXC (I use a 128GB card) in the adapter works great. I even have it formatted as a bootable drive as an alternative for checking out the internal drive. However, to swap the SDXC card you have to remove the adapter. So it isn't exactly a replacement for a true SDXC slot.I have also used this with my 64GB cards from my camera to transfer photos. So far no problems.I see these are not available anymore.
