(I wanted to acclimate him to the tool before I gave you a review so I could be fair and honest) Once he was acclimated to the tool we went out to work. The product performs very well. At first (given that my mobility dog is a Rottweiler) I must admit I was a little wary of the fact that it has plastic clips. However given that he was tasking at heel with just his vest and the handle within basically 5 minutes of accimation my worries were for not. (I trust my dog I do not trust other people’s dogs) If you have a shorter dog (I do not my partner is a large powerful breed) this handle would be a very good fit for a vest that already has a handle, but the handle isn’t quite long enough to comfortably use. I am not saying I would use the handle to completely replace a leash but on my partner has been trained with a gentle leader and when working with this handle on his vest he is able to go without the gentle leader. Even a handle like this with plastic clips on a well trained dog is more than capable of holding up to a power breed. I would not suggest you use it on a dog who does not walk heel and I would not suggest you use it on a dog use is still in training. Still over all a very sturdy product. I will probably order another one so I don’t have to keep switching this one between his vests. Review: This handle is very nice, comfortable in my hand, and has great functionality. Can't see an issue with it, the clasps are metal now.
