Salonpas seems to work best for pain

Both my wife and I use Salonpas and it works well for both of us. We use it like a body deodorant, just rolling it all over the pain areas. Normally, no problem for the rest of the day.

I prefer the actual solonpas "peel, press and wear" patches. However, the gel works pretty well too. The good part it doesn’t have a smell and doesn’t stain your clothes. I always put some on my back, especially the lowerback , my knees, my hands, my wrists and my ankles. I still get the joint pain because I have arthritis. However the Salonpas gel helps keeps me focused on my workouts so I can complete them and feel great afterwards.

This stuff works. I have a torn long-neck tendon in my shoulder and bicep, along with rotator cuff damage. Being 82 years old, I'm reluctant to have surgery because of the long recovery time with restrained movement and this ointment does a terrific job of subduing the pain so that I can sleep and otherwise function. I strongly recommend you try it. Just give it a little time to penetrate before putting your clothes back on (5-10 minutes) so they won't stick.
