ASICSGel-Nimbus 17, Women's Training Running Shoes

Always bought Asics, either Nimbus or Cumulus, as I am a severe supinator (though I would also recommend them these if you have a neutral gait) with damaged feet, needing extra cushion on the outside of the foot. With all of the brands I've tried, Asics have come through year after year.Certainly not as springly as Asics Cumulus (they are quite springy though!!!) , on the other hand they provide superb cushioning and support, hugging the whole foot, even more than Asics 16, something I still have to find in other brands. Make me feel the earth soft under my feet!Landing truly feels like running on clouds. Awesome sensation, I would neve take them off. Absolutely brilliant, no doubt the are really worth the money.Asics made a shoe that excels in every area, they really set the standard by which I'll judge all future runners purchases.

I have always worn the 'Asics Gel Nimbus' shoe for running (as well for walking etc...) for about 10 years now - I find the 17 to be a welcome improvement from the '16' model - the actual shoe itself feels much lighter on the foot without loosing any of that great gel cushioning which I so love about the 'Gel Nimbus'. Also, the '17' has a more attractive appearance than previous models - with a much smoother and sleeker front section.Overall though certain models in the Gel Nimbus line may be slightly better than others I have always loved them for the great support and cushioning they provide which I have yet to find in any other brands - maybe bit pricey but for me personally they are always worth it. Having invested in and tried other brands I always return to Gel Nimbus

Always buy Asics Nimbus or 2000's as I am a severe supinator, and with all of the brands I've tried, Asics have come through year after year. The one thing I've noticed that differs is that the shoe is a bit more spacious at the ankle - so I now use all of the shoestring holes (used to not use the very top one). Also I am a heavier runner - and these shoes are durable. I usually replace them every 6 months / 500 miles - If you're new to running - only use your running shoes for running!! You will make them last longer :)

I ran my first marathon a month ago and am training for my first 60k ultra now. I land too stiff on the arch of my left foot and this has caused injuries in the past including the snapping hyp syndrome. I tried different types of support shoes but it was painful after 10 miles. With these shoes I have a completely different experience. I ran 10 miles on Saturday and was able to do another 5 the next day without any pain or ache. The insuls are fully jelled and this gives a lot of support. Landing on the ground feels like bouncing on clouds because these shoes are also very light and flexible. The ankle area is fully padded and gives lots of support too. I will need trail shoes soon and will try to stick to trail version of these. I read on other reviews that the fit is a bit small. I wear UK size 6 running shoes and ordered these in 6,5. They fit perfectly.

My second pair of ASIC's Gel Nimbus 17's. Wonderfully comfortable from the first run. Longest run has been a half marathon in the last pair, and feet felt fine at the end of it. Would highly recommend these for walking and running. Nice stable sole - I have weaker ankles and this helps a lot. Second pair was bought as I had reached max mileage in the last pair, and will now keep the old ones for my muddier runs!To note, although probably not recommended by the manufacturer, they go through the washing machine and come out like new.

I had already bought an Asics gel nimbus 17 in august last year. The 18 version was still too expensive for me so I simply repeated buying last year's version in august 2016. Good cushioning, good fit. Love the colour of bright blue with a few orange markings. Slightly concerned about the reputation of the 18 version but I shall worry about that next year. I am a 64 year old female runner who runs about 3 times a week, now only 3 to 6 miles each time. This old body's joints need that cushioning as do my feet.

I've been an Asics fan a long time and have just started training for a 10k- invested in 'better shoes' but they bit me! About 1.5miles into a training run and I have blisters on the toe end of my instep. Frustrated as I've never had blisters before and I've ran more than 1.5 miles in Asics shoes many times previously. I'll be off to the running shop soon then for a fitting.

Not as I expected at all. Did not fit properly, tight fit across the balls of my feet. The inner sole was a small fitting as my toes where going over the edge. I did my research for quite a while for a decent pair of running shoes so quite fed up that these where not as expected. But saying this, I then went and trailed around lots of shops, prepared to pay a lot of money out for something decent I could run in, I was very surprised to find most running shoes where an awful fit. Funnily enough I ended up trying on a cheap pair for everyday where £30 and they fitted and felt better than everything I had tried on, they are now my new running shoes :)

BUY LARGER than regular shoe size. Feet swell during exercise or extended wear time.
