Surprisingly Useful Automatic Grape Peeler for Small Fruit Prep
The SAZVIA Automatic Grape Peeler Machine is something that I first thought was a gimmick, but have come around to seeing a number of good uses for it. It is well built, operates smoothly and is easy to clean. The unit is all plastic except for the blades. The bowl is clear with the rest being a blue plastic. There are yellow alignment arrows to note the spots where parts fit together. The peeler is round with a diameter of 19.5 cm. The peeling bowl is about 13 cm tall, and the removable motor is 9 cm tall. The food chamber with items to be peeled is about 6 cm tall and the peelings/scrap area is about 6 cm tall. Motor controls are clear, one button says PEEL while the other is labeled EJECT. There is a USB-C charging port on the motor that has a waterproof rubber cover. A USB-C to USB-A charging cable is included. The parts remove easily and without tools for cleaning. I just wipe out the residue then hand wash. Operation is straightforward. Remove the peeler bowl lid and drop in some small fruit. Replace lid and make sure the motor is attached. Press PEEL and the fruit is skinned. When done then press EJECT and skinless items shoot out the ejection port. Make sure you have a bowl under the ejection port first. Run it only enough to peel. Longer running will start to cut into the fruit meat rather than only peel. Actual peeling time was not measured, but it was rapid, less than 30 seconds. Using it is a bit entertaining. First to watch the fruit tumble and the skins appear to vanish then to see them shoot out into the ejection bowl. I’ve been using skinned grapes and tomatoes in several dishes with good results. One downside to the peeler is that the bowl is made of hard plastic and this will skate on a glass or smooth work surface. Make sure to place a silicone pad under it when using. An easy improvement would be for them to place a silicone ring or something similar on the bottom of the bowl to reduce slipping. Also, the size prevents it from effectively peeling larger or odd sized items. So don’t try to load potatoes and expect results. Best with small skinned items like grapes, cherry tomatoes, garlic and the like. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by how well the unit works, the nice design features, helpful assembly markings and build quality. It is much better than I expected and a bit entertaining.

One function Wonder
I chose this specifically for peeling garlic. The over all machine was very easy to use, the “one touch” claim is actually true. I just dumped in some Garlic and it tumbles around and it’s peeled, you do need and additional bowl for the Garlic to tumble into, and I did find out that less is better, it doesn’t like large amounts or weird shaped Garlic. The whole thing is made of plastic making it easy to handle and clean. It’s very light weight and not a big bulky machine so you would definitely be able to store on the counter . The you don’t need to worry about getting cut by the blades it uses a tumbling method and they are enclosed in one of the chambers. Overall it does what is says, but you can’t use it for anything else, the price tag of 35.99 is a bit high for a kitchen tool with only one function.

Best way to peel garlic... EVER!
This is such a time saver!!! So, when I saw "Automatic Grape Peeler Machine" my brain went, "that's a thing?!" Well, yes, it's a very cool thing! I didn't get it to peel grapes (though, I might use it for that if I had toddlers). I got it to peel garlic. AND IT WORKS GREAT! I had my doubts, because my son told me that he heard several negative things about grape peelers in general, but apparently this one is way above average. I broke apart my garlic into individual cloves, cut the heel off of each one, then ran them in this peeler for about 30 seconds. They were all beautifully peeled! I was also concerned that they would be nicked and browned, but they weren't! I then tried peeling them without cutting the heels off, and it doesn't work very well. But that's ok, because I want the heels removed before I use them anyway. I am so happy with this peeler, because I use a lot of garlic (cooking and making tinctures), and this saves me so much time and frustration. It is rechargeable, so you don't have to be close to a power outlet to use it, or have to fiddle with a cord getting in the way. It is super easy to clean, the power head is the only part that is not fully submersible. My ONLY complaint is that the screw that holds the blade plate and riser together is difficult to get in the hole, the right direction. Thankfully, it's a one time issue. This is definitely a great addition to my kitchen and a great value at $35.

one trick pony
I will say upfront that this little device does do what it says in that it will peel a grape and it will also peel garlic...with a caveat. If you take the cloves apart and cut off the end, this peeler works very well on garlic, although at that point, you have already done half the job yourself. It peels grapes as well, but if you don't have babies or, well, I actually don't know anyone else who requires their grapes peeled. So, as a one trick pony, this device does do what it says, albeit not perfectly with the garlic without a slight bit of prep. Hope this helps you today.

An Okay Electric Peeler Machine
First, the assembly instructions were not very clear, which made putting the machine together a bit confusing. However, once I managed to get it assembled, the rest of the process was straightforward. I charged the motor using the included USB cable, then washed and thoroughly dried all parts before testing it out. I started by loading grapes into the machine. The firmer grapes peeled quite well, but the softer ones did not peel as efficiently and had some skin left on them. After that, I tried peeling garlic cloves, and I was genuinely impressed. It handled the garlic very well and removed the skin effectively. I do think this peeler machine is priced well, however, this is my overall take: PROS: It does peel harder fruits and vegetables very well and fast. CONS: Terrible instructions. Once assembled, the fit feels flimsy and loose. What I would change: 1. Better instructions 2. I would like to see a medium bristle brush included for cleaning.
