Q: How waterproof are they really? i need something i can wear in the mud and wet grass, with no ingress of water.

I've had no issue with water ingress with these boots. I've worn them in the rain many times without a problem. Mind you, I wouldn't submerge them fully in water. They are very nice, comfortable and warm boots. Highly recommend!!

Q: Do these boots suit wide feet with high arches?

I myself have wide feet and high arches. I did purchase I size higher than normal and my boots fitted like a glove. I’ve had them about 9 months and wear them daily walking my three dogs every morning mainly over farm land. They are looked after with regular doses of dubbin.

Hi. I tried this, but I the end I sold them. There are much more comfortable boots out there. I was disappointed

Have had numerous pairs of Hillmaster over the years as I am a keen Hiker. Very comfortable boot, wear straight from box. I have although noticed that my last 2 pairs have not lasted as long waterproof wise as the leather has cracked where the upper joins the sole letting in water.
