I'm not super experienced at making models, but I wanted an homage to Transformers G1 Jetfire, and managed a pretty amazing figure in the end. IMO.This model is somewhat small, standing around 6 1/2" to the top of his head, about 8" including his rocket packs. But for the size it is amazingly detailed! And the articulation is pretty good. Fantastic compared to other figures that came out in the early 1980's.This guy snaps together with no glue required, though you may want to add a few drops here and there. Gaps and seems were pretty minimal on my figure.Comes with multiple interchangeable hands, optional backpack, cockpit shield, and a few other options. Also a TON of waterslide decals.Speaking of decals, I'm taking off one star because those decals were a real struggle. Don't know if they were made in 84, but I had trouble with many of them. Through research, I learned to use Micro Set, then spray on a UV protectant clear coat that holds everything in place.Took me about a month to complete, but I panel lined EVERYTHING and gave it a custom JETFIRE paint job.I love it now!

This was the only toy I wanted as a kid. But my family thought I was too young n nobody would help me build it. I build models with my little guy now n to find this after 30 years, straight must buy!!

This is an old kit. This design is incredibly outdated, the articulation barely works, and the kit feels incredibly delicate once finished. The color separation is lacking in the extreme, and though the kit comes with a massive sheet of waterslide decals to address this issue, they barely stick, either because they’re horrible decals or they’ve just aged horrendously. The plastic is comically cheap. If you’ve ever touched a toy from the dollar store, you know what this kit is made out of. Simply sandwiching the pieces together creates stress marks. The pegs on each piece don’t even fit into the holes of corresponding pieces! Parts that are supposed to fit cleaning have large gaps.The flaws of this kit can’t even be blamed on its age, since Bandai kits from the same time period don’t have nearly the same amount of issues. Don’t bother with this janky mess.

This model was the most frustrating thing I've ever made. Poor materials that feel cheap and a very large amount of genuinely awful construction methods made me put off finishing the kit for months after just the first few steps. The way this model fits together makes no sense at times, and would often require glue to keep things somewhat together. Expect to sand and shave many fittings.The end result looks ok but if you want it to look nice, expect to spend more time panel-lining and polishing up.

It’s cool, if you’re a fan this item is for you… The only thing is that you need a toolkit for the smaller parts
