Contigo SnapSeal Byron Vacuum-Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Mug, 16 Oz, Deep Sea and Stormy Weather

Hi -I ordered this item a month ago, and have been using daily on my commute to work.I have washed the item several times by hand , and you can see the coating has started to peel off.really bad quality , especially coming from a top notch name such as contigo , I would expect a much better item.

I purchased a 2-pack of these in Nov 2018, to replace two of the same Contigo mugs that I used for years. Love the colors they offer, it keeps my 6am brew warm easily until 11 or 12 when I'm ready for my second mug of the day. And they're far more affordable than then mugs I used to buy.But I definitely feel the O-ring in the lid for both of the new mugs is giving me far more issues within the first few months than I saw with my older mugs over 3-4 years. It will pop up in a section so it doesn't create a seal. Then you unwittingly take a drink or place it in your work bag, only to find coffee draining out. So you do have to pay attention (even if you haven't had enough coffee yet to be alert!). Check that the ring is in place, prep your coffee and seal the lid; then shake it out over your sink so you find out if there's an issue sooner than later. And once you know the seal is in place, all is good, enjoy your hot, fresh-tasting coffee! It's almost enough for me to look elsewhere, but living with it for now.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these travel mugs! I have them in 3 different sizes. This is the only mug that I've found that actually keeps my coffee, tea or other hot beverages HOT for several hours! They hold up well, fit in my vehicles cup holder perfectly, and do exactly as they claim to do. Even after 8 hours my coffee is still warm (if I have any left). I haven't used them for cold beverages. If you buy the Contigo with the Snap Seal lid, keep the snap seal CLOSED while not in use to keep your beverage hot. I also have the Contigo West loop Autoseal travel mug, but I prefer the snap seal lid so I don't have to keep pressing the auto seal button every time I want to take a sip of my beverage. Definitely worth the purchase!

I bought a pair of these travel mugs to replace the larger travel mugs I've used for years. The old mugs had those clear plastic lids and they would sometimes break. But...the mugs kept my water pretty darn cold for the better part of a day. When I first got them, they would keep my water cold into the next day, especially of I had ice cubes in the water.SO I expected the same with these mugs, especially after reading many of the reviews. I received less than I expected.The mugs look nice. The lids work fairly well....they DO keep the mugs from leaking, but that's about the only thing they do well. The lids are a bit klunky to screw into place. I got used to that.The problem is that they don't do a very good job of keeping my water cold. Every morning, I pack a soft sided 'lunch box', mostly with water. I put two large, 10" x 12" cool packs in first, then add the two new travel mugs, filled with water and one large, 2" x 2" ice cube. I also add another older slim stainless travel mug that was in the freezer overnight, then filled with water, and one plastic bottle of water. Also, I kept these new mugs in the fridge overnight.So you would think that with all that cold stuff packed together, these new mugs with keep the water ice cold. Not quite. I pack this stuff about 5:45 am and I AM working outside, but under cover. So not in direct sun. by about 1:30, the ice cubes have melted in these new mugs and while the water is cool, it's not near as cold as it should be.And that's my issue with these.....they don't do the job as advertised.

The inner seal ring falls out all the time which makes the liquid spill out. Very frustrating!!

These are great travel mugs, the lids screws on so you don't spill your coffee like with those that slip inside. The seal is tight. I deducted a star because they mugs are hand wash only... At least stainless is easy to wash, but WHY? It's the 21st century, everything should go in the dishwasher!

I am in love with these cups and will buy Contigo from now on. They are not too expensive and worth the price. I found one of these pretty cheap at a discount store and loved it so I purchased 2 more from Amazon. These cups keep drinks warm for hours. In fact, I use it as my coffee mug all the time now....I can get rid of the cups that come with sets of dishes because I won't use those anymore after these.I haven't tried keeping anything cold in them yet but I would imagine they would be good for that too!

Ok, I've been buying this brand for years. Now, they're "cheaping out" and making more money! 1st, they had a great lid that opened up for the dishwasher but now it a cheap plastic lid that you have to push up (very tight) to take a sip and then you have to push it back down (hard) to close. Try this DRIVING YOUR CAR, you need both hands to open & close. 2nd, you CANNOT PUT IN DISHWASHER, except for the hockey puk lid. The paint will start to peel (known from our last (and final) pair) which is the reason we bought these and are now returning. The aluminium feels tinnier, however I cannot say that as a fact because I can't find the stats. Thank you…

El termo funciona bien mientras tengas cuidado con el sello de la tapa, el cual se zafa casi cada vez que cierras la tapa o se va mordiendo solito poco a poco lo cual provoca fugas cuando tomas tu bebida, que decepcion no recomiendo comprarlo a pesar de que sabia que esta marca es muy buena, mejor vayanse por los otros modelos que no son snapseal.

As others have said, after just a few months of occasional use, the rubber seals on the inside of the lid are coming out and thus the travel mug now leaks when I drink from it - coffee spills down my shirt as I try to drink. The lids should be made better. And I should be able to get a replacement lid somehow - seems like such a waste to have to throw away the whole thing. Contigo, do better!

Fueron un regalo y le encantaron! Los colores son muy muy bonitos. Conservan tanto los líquidos calientes como fríos. Las tapas son buenas, hasta el momento no se derraman.Definitivamente compraría más tanto para regalar como para mi. La marca Contigo siempre es sinónimo de calidad.Lo único que mejorarían seria el empaque, es clásico de esta marca, pero podrían estar en una caja para evitar rayaduras.

Estan muy padres y mantienen por 3-4 horas las bebidas calientes (cafe y te que es para lo que los uso) despues de ese tiempo ya estaran tibias pero aun es satisfactorio beberlas, las frias duran mas, tienen un empaque anillado en un surco por debajo de la tapa que ea lo que sella el liquido alrrededor, pero esporadicamente se sale de su sitio y tienes que volverlo a introducir con un objeto que no lo maltrate o lo pueda romper nuevamente en ese surco eso sucede cuando lo cierras demasiado fuerte o quieres apretar la rosca mas alla del limite asi que no lo hagas pafa que no te suceda eso, me han durado mas que cualquier otro thermo, solo por ese detalle del empaque no le doy las 5 estrellas

creí que seria un termo mas que solo sirve para cargar el café y realmente mantiene caliente el liquido, si lo recomiendo lo sirvo desde las 6 am para trasladar a la obra a temperaturas de -2 grados y si lo conserva por hasta 4 hrs a esa temperatura ambiente, realmente buenos!!!! y excelente precio!!!! gracias a Contigo!!!!
