Elixir Strings, Acoustic Guitar Strings, 80/20 Bronze with NANOWEB Technology, Longest-Lasting Bright and Focused Tone For Life with Comfortable Feel, 6 String Set, HD Light 13-53

Have been using Elixirs for nearly 30yrs on my Martin, only a light gauge. These are a little heavier for a resonator guitar I just bought. Great sound and volume and last a long time.

As a musician of 20 years I have used Elixir Nanoweb strings on my Dobros. These strings provide a smooth but bright sound with little to no string chatter. They hold their tone very well and I don’t think I’ve ever broken one.

Elixir guitar strings only the best. It’s a must have for any acoustic guitar or electric.

So now that I've gone through Aprox 6 sets of these I feel it's time to let ya'll now how great these strings are. Ive started with elixir from my first guitar which was a takamini jasmine, a very cheap guitar but bulletproof, the strings definitely worked very good and lasted a long time. After that I got a Taylor 110 one of the most beautiful sounding guitars ever, and I've been trying lots of different companies for my strings from ernie ball, to fender. The ernie balls where terrible! The earth woods I think it was, sounded bad, felt even worse, and lasted a week before the rusted to the point of unplayable. And any other strings I tried just never could match the elixirs. I have bad piss fingers, meaning I rust any metal I tough even stainless steel, but with the nanotechnology coating on the strings they last a looongg time and sound great throughout. Super full and bright, and just really happy sounding on the Taylor. They also do great with open tunings. For the feel, they are super, very slippy and aren't harsh on the fingers, of corse if your new yeah they get some calloses going, but compared to some other strings, top notch. I will be sticking with these for a long time, unless I discover a better brand, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I absolutely love the sound of these strings. Been playing for about a year fingerstyle acoustic and these sound the best by far. They offer a bright almost whiny tone, very loud and vibrant, easy to hammer on/pull off. Subtle movements on the fret board can be heard that many other strings can't replicate. Up until now my favorite have been D'Addario coated philosopher bronze which are amazing also, but the sound with the elixer is unmatched. My only criticism is one of the strings coating appeared to be separating after only a few days of play. Only on one string, I feel it may have been a random defect. Easy 4 star, 5 if not the coating issue.

I bought these because I was tired of replacing string sets that got short session use over a long period of time. I would play for an hour or so, wipe the strings with a dry towel, then put the guitar down and not play it again for days or even weeks. When I did, the strings had soured and needed replacements. These nanoweb strings stay fresh if you remember to simply wipe them down after each use. I have a set on my Carvin that are two years old and still sound great. I'm slowly replacing string sets on all my guitars; even the acoustics for these nanoweb strings. They are very much worth any small increase in price as you are getting a better, longer lasting string set.

I have tried several different sets of strings over the years, these are the without a doubt the Best, the sound quality and resonance is simply amazing. I use these on two high end Yamaha Acoustics I have and they sound amazing. I have a few other guitars including a nice Martin and a high end Faith guitar, I will use these on them next. But these have done wonders for my Yamaha's. it has taken them to yet another level, I can't put them down, I play them for hours every day!

I wouldn't use anything else on my Taylor acoustics, which is what these guitars ship with. They work perfectly on them. I've not tried them on my vintage Yahama acoustic, instead I use strings that were common from that time period. Elixir strings are well worth the money, they last a along time and don't lose their sound. I wipe them down after every use with a treated string cloth to clean them and keep them like new.

What can I say, these are the best and help with the whole callus thing when playing. Nice beautiful tone to these strings true. Love them.
