It's soft, elastic and comfortable. Installation was super easy as expected from a quick release strap. I have taken it hiking a couple of time now and it's held up very well. Even if it did break or become damaged after a few months, I would just buy another one for less than $10. It's a great value for a quick release. Nothing really special or truly remarkable, but that wasn't I expected.
