It is a great alternative to the original surface keyboard. However, it has been an adjustment with some things (i.e., having to charge the keyboard, to turn the keyboard off to preserve charge and the surface acting as though it is in tablet mode). Some things I like is it works even when it isn't attached to the surface because it is connected via Bluetooth and the back lit keys. This is worth the purchase.
