4 Pack Ratchet Straps,Heavy Duty Tie Downs Load Straps, Black

New to using ratchet straps to secure my moped to a hitch mount motorcycle carrier. I was very nervous and kept a close eye on it, but after 4 hours of driving, some on highway, some through grass, it didn't move one bit. I do suggest watching a YouTube video or two to make sure your strapping everything down right. No damage of any kind to the moped or its finish either.

I have a mixed perspective on this product and the downside is perhaps, a bit nit-picky, and has nothing necessarily to do with its quality. Meaning, imo, this is a pretty standard-duty, average type of ratcheting tied down set of straps. What I have not ever been a great fan of, is the little snap-back clips on each of the S-hooks. Now, I will only speak to my own use at this point, regarding this particular issue. At times, when I'm strapping down a load of garbage on my utility trailer let say, on the side of the trailer there are these large, welded metal brackets that I often use with my other, non-clipping S-hooked tie down straps, and I merely slip the opened end of the S-hook over it, and it holds just fine once pressure is placed on it. However, with this particular snapping hook, it's actually more cumbersome, as it doesn't actually improve the hold, it hinders a good, full seating of the S-hook. Whereas, these snapping clips are just fine when I place one on the HD metal mesh sheeting of the flip-down gate. In that circumstance, the snaps actually close properly, and really do hold quite well and confidently. So, if this sort of a thing is not even a consideration for you, then this product is a strong value for the money, and works great as an average-duty set of tie down straps. The ratchets, btw, are super easy to use, work very smoothly, and lock down (close) confidently after you've applied a preferred amount of tension to the load. Regarding the velcro straps that come with this kit, I've never used stuff like that as I have a couple of ratchet strap winders, one of which is mounted to my trailer, making quick organization of said straps super quick and easy. Anyhow, overall its' a nice product at an even nicer price.

I was looking to replace my ratchet straps for my motorcycle tie downs with ones with a higher working load and ones that have a spring loaded retention clip on the hooks. This WynWerth ratcheting tie down set works well for what I was looking for. Several positive aspects about this set: 1. It is a 1 inch wide strap so it it easy to manage when in use and keep tidy when rolled up for storage. For a 1 inch strap it has a fairly high working load of 700 lbs. Many other 1 inch ratchet straps typically will be around 500 lbs. So this is nice to have some extra working load while staying in an easier to manage 1 inch strap/ratchet. 2. The overlap and X-stitching is a good amount, this surely helps to meet the working load. After several uses I don;t see any stress showing on these stitchings. 3. The ratchet mechanism work smoothly and make good engagement with the teeth. For some others of the smaller 1 inch ratchets I've used in the past this is the point that sometimes is not so nice. 4. All of the hooks have a spring loaded retention clip to secure the hook onto your D-ring. This was one of the motivation to change my current straps out to this set. 5. 15 feet of strap, plenty of length for most applications - way more than I needed so I cut down for my application and seared the new ends to avoid fraying. 6. Comes with a carry bag which is more than sufficient in size to hold all 4 when rolled up. 7. Comes with 4 velcro strips to keep the tails rolled up and tidy after you've strapped everything down. Even though this is a small thing, it is nice that it comes with these. There is only one other aspect that for me personally I would have like to see different and that is about the soft loops. There is nothing technically wrong with them. They have the half-twist on one end that you would expect, the overlap fold and stitching is good and the same as on the ratchet straps, and similar material and width as the ratchet straps. They really should be fine. But I like my soft loops to be fairly wide for a couple of reasons: 1. This is the what is going around my personal item and depending on what that item is and where it is being strapped to I'd like a wider loop just to help distribute any force/stress over a wider surface area. 2. The soft loop can experience chaffing depending on what it is going around, so I prefer to use wider and heavier soft loops. Again, this is my personal preference. The soft loops that come with this set I think are functional and will work. Overall I'm pretty happy with this ratchet set replacing my previous set.

It’s a practical, well-made set that offers plenty of peace of mind on the road. For what you get and the quality I think this ratchet tie-down set is a bargain.

This a very nice ratcheting strap set! First of all, the ratchet part is much easier to use and more heavy-duty than most of the other ones I've had previously. The strap itself, however is a little thinner than what I'm used to. At first I was worried that meant it wouldn't be as strong, but after using these to tie down a 2 ft x 4 ft x 2 ft cargo container weighing at least 300lbs to my hitch cargo carrier, It was easy to tell the fabric weave is stronger and mightier than it seems. I made it 2 hours on the road at highway speeds with just two straps (I opted to make it three straps for peace of mind on my way home). No loosening at all, but with an easy release only when I was ready. The thick metal hooks have an extra carabiner-style closure that I've never seen before (which functions just as well as one without a closure if it can't close all the way), and they are coated for protection and grip - very high quality. I can't believe how low-priced for such a high-quality set!
