However, it does fit very well, is extremely durable, and the straps do adjust so your child can make use of it well into the 50lb range. **Q: Will it turn a child in face up position?** A: My 4 year old and 2 year old wear the same size and they both are face up in this jacket. I don't know how it would be for a younger child. My 2 year old is about 26 pounds. **Q: Is there a leg strap on the 50-90lb jacket?** A: No. The 50-90 lb vest does not have a leg strap. The 30-50 lb vest does have a strap. Unfortunately, the 30-50 lb size vest keeps showing up on this page, incorrectly described, as a variation. I am working with Amazon to get the 30-50 lb vest permanently moved to its own page so that there is no more confusion. Most of the reviews complaining that the vest is too small most likely received the 30-50 lb version of the vest and didn't realize it. **Q: Can this be used for swimming at the beach, or is it not recommended for that but more for boat/tubing use?** A: I use it for both.
