Securing this to the wall took moments, though finding the right height for my specific doorway required some trial and error. The magnetic end is strong enough to stay put against a metal frame even when there is a bit of tension in the line, which was my main concern. I’ve found the retraction mechanism is quite snappy; letting go too quickly results in a sharp whip back, which startled me the first time. It feels sturdy in hand, and the yellow material is bright enough to be seen from the end of the corridor without being an eyesore. Using this daily to block off the kitchen during floor cleaning has been practical. The tape hasn't sagged yet, keeping a crisp horizontal line. One small niggle is the plastic casing feels like it might scuff if knocked by a heavy trolley, but for general foot traffic, it holds up. It serves its purpose by providing a clear visual boundary without needing heavy floor stands that I’d usually trip over. The spring tension remains consistent after dozens of pulls.
