So far so good!
This one is more powerful than our previous microwave hood oven and a bit quieter! The only thing i don't like is the fact that you have to press the red power button twice to shut the fan off. At first press it will blink off and on. Second press will turn off, not a big deal...I do love the lights, they are a soft white, and gives so much light to our cooking surface.

Almost perfect
Excellent but loud even on low. Very effective. Mine frequently cuts off when running, though I just restart it. I bought it as an in between exhaust as my 20 yr. old Broan died and I am doing a new kitchen next year. I did have the exhaust professionally installed. Need to call the company.

A kit for parts to do custom upgrade. Light is too weak for cooking and does not make meat look fresh.
I have mixed feelings on this product. On positive side: It is made of 0.7mm stainless steel, has baffled filter, has rather good two squirrel cage 3-speed AC motors which are not as quiet as I expected, but OK compared to my NuTone range hood, it has quality mechanical design and good screws. Certainly NOT "Ultra Quiet", but acceptable. On negative side: it has too dim, non-replaceable LED lights with a bit blue ("daylight") color that barely illuminate the range surface and make meats look a bit un-fresh - absolutely unacceptable for the kitchen. Certainly NOT "Ultra Bright". I thought that it comes with GU10 halogen bulbs which I can immediately replace, but... read entire review. Its baffle filter has mounting notches that leave to thin metal strip which breaks apart - one of the filters I got was broken, and another shows that it was broken and then welded in the weak place. And I expected it to be even a bit more quiet. When I was looking for the range hood, I wanted the following features (scores for this hood in brackets): under cabinet (ok), sturdy nice looking stainless steel (ok), <40 dBA at 150cfm (close to OK), squirrel cage fans (ok) with brushless DC motors (not ok) and variable electronically controlled speed (not OK), with bright warm white LED lights (not OK) and ability to replace bulbs (not ok), and with complete disconnect on/off switch (not OK) and at price point of $250 (OK). All these features are doable today at the specified price point, but I could find only this one which was closest. The first thing I did is replaced the LED lights with 7W 450 lm MR16 12V LED bulbs naively. It was possible although the seating for the bulb is made incompatible and the retaining ring cannot be used. I immediately had perfect illumination of the range. But it causes overload of the 12V supply transformer (? why they decided to use 12V bulbs when 120V LEDs are available?) and the power transformer burned out. These proud Cycene designers were not thinking enough. When I disassembled it (assembly quality was very good), I found that it has provisions for two types of bulbs - 120V AC and 12V DC. 12V DC max current is 0.5A total. So I did the work for them and upgraded it to 12V switcher supply for controls and relays, and used GU10 120V 7W warm while led bulbs now which ARE "Ultra Bright" and fit perfectly into the mounting holes and retaining rings, and have no limitation on power. It costed me $5 for sockets and $7 for bulbs. This upgrade eliminated design deficiencies and now I have a nice range hood. The other thing is the clock - it runs away by 15mins a day. I did not pay attention to it first, but it is really annoying to have several clocks in the house showing different time. The deeper inspection shows that the microcontroller, BS82D20, does not have crystal oscillator enabled due to firmware bug(!), although the crystal is installed on the board. I think that these designers were D-graders in college or simply had no experience. Wonder how it went into production unnoticed!Summary: If you are an electrical engineer and can do the some rework, you may buy it as a base kit to work on. If you want to just use it "as is", don't buy!

Great value & function!
After reading dozens of reviews, I decided to go with this hood. It looks great, is powerful, and the noise is much quieter than I had anticipated.

Great product! I really like the rounded corners so you don’t hit your head on a square edge. 3 speed fan works good. Has the clock on the outside. The reason I only gave it four stars is it’s a little bit narrow 29 1/2 inches instead of the stated 30 inches.

We are very happy with this purchase
Very powerful, but relatively quiet for a 600 cfm unit. We are very happy with this purchase.

Nice vent but smaller than advertised
One of the reasons I chose this vent was that it claimed to be 30 in wide, I didn't want the gaps up either side of it. Unfortunately it is not 30 inches wide it is only 29 1/2. I had to make filler blocks and finish them to match the cabinets to fill the gaps I also had to shim it out cuz it's not as deep as it says either. It turned out okay but was a lot more work. The parts of the hood that are exposed are non-magnetic stainless and have a nice finish. The clock loses time and has to be set once a week to keep it in sync with the range it also has an annoying zero ahead of the numbers. Other than that it's a nice Hood.
