does they work in the original Kindle

These are perfect with the Original Kindle. No longer will you be bothered by those around you asking if you like the Kindle, or if that is the original kindle they had back in college. If you are using the original kindle, you are likely riding a loud city bus on the way back to the trailer park. And you NEED these plugs. Thanks!

I'm freaked out over how far they seemingly stick out. Is there any danger of having something bump into them and have the plug jam in your ear?

I've actually had this happen. I was at a metal show and someone from a mosh pit fell into me and it somehow got jammed into my ear where I couldn't get it out with my fingertips and I had to wait to get home for my wife to extract it with needle nose pliers. It didnt go deep enough to cause damage but it sure was uncomfortable. I've used them 20+ times since and it hasnt happened again..

will this fit a five year old?

Did you ever buy these for your five year old? If so, how did they fit? Did they work well?

do they come with the cord to keep them attatched?

They come with a plastic case that has a cord attached to it.
