First of all, very good semi-industrial fan by Lasko. As a fan of Lasko, they made a powerful home edition industrial-like fan with very easy to clean grill and simply a metal blade to wipe clean. No screws, no crews. Upon start up, the metal blades make a temporary winding noise. This goes away after about 2 - 5 minutes when the blades situate. However, time to time but rarely you will hear a "metalic hum" then it goes away for good. Not too noisy, around the same dB as a standard home fan. A real industrial fan shouts out heavy brown noise. Boeing 757 Rolls Royce engine sound I said? Oh yes! On speed 3 (highest), it sounds exactly and I say exactly the same as sitting next to a window front of one of those Rolls Royce RB211 beautiful engines, even nearly as powerful too! Lower this beautiful fan to speed 2 to and it starts to sound like an ATR-72 200 idling. And the lowest speed (speed) kind of sounds like an Airbus A300 cruising (again, sitting at the most front of the engine). Powerful breeze at all speeds, super easy to clean. So get you one of these and stop buying those CVS or Wallgreens plastic fans that aren't clean friendly.... they were purposely made as one time use disposable fans, just that it wouldn't be realistic to sell them for a dollar. February 8, 2026 Update: Nearly 4 years of running almost 24 hours daily (and regular cleaning), this beast died. This fan will last you a very, very long time!

Unfortunately, after less than one hour functionning a strange noise coming from the engine surprised us so we stopped it, contacted Amazon and sent it back...I guess good things have an end. Waohhhh! The black Lasko H20660 is a wonderful and powerful fan! Self confined since February our few distractions are BBQ in our patio once in a while. We love BBQ at home and this product is a must when grilling in the hotTexan summer. I put this imponent fan on a stable table on the porch. It is delivered with a remote control that works with 2 AAA ( tiny tiny batteries.) Options are on/ off and speed 1, 2, 3. At 2 your hair is in the wind and at 3 you take off😁You will find the same options on the fan support/frame. YES, It is a bit noisy when its 3 blades cut the air, but it is just because it is fast and efficient. Moreover, it is NOT at the point you canNOT talk. If you have a discussion it will not prevent you from hearing your interlocutor. You will still have to turn on music...LOL. This sturdy 20 inches fan can be fixed on the wall. A mount plate WITH TWO HOLES TO HANG IT UP is included so you just need to get the screws. This fan can pivot or be set the way you want. It is not an outdoor fan so leave it on the porch far away from any source of water. At least it is what I do. It is on a table and it is stable. There are some rubber parts to not ruin the support it is on. The cable is long and the plug is grounded. It was sold for much more money by many competitors so I am glad I bought here here.

I have an older Lasko that worked for years until I accidentally dropped on the back and bent one of the blades so it didn’t blow air, so I ordered another one. I’ve noticed that a lot of people are saying it’s too loud. I disagree with those reviews. On the number 1 setting it’s no louder than my old one. This fan DEFINITELY is not loud in my book. I use this fan on my dresser at night and I enjoy the white noise. I suffer from combat ptsd and this fan DEFINITELY helps me get to sleep and stay asleep. The quality of this fan is definitely close to being industrial quality. The rubber feet are solid and no vibration. For the money you pay for this fan your getting an awesome fan, it’s also very easy to clean by removing the front cage. As I said before I had another Lasko fan and it lasted for years and it still works but no air because I bent one of the blades and that’s my own fault. If you have want a fan that will last for years to come then this is the fan you want. I’ve also noticed that I don’t have to run my air conditioning nowhere near as much. The fan also blows a long distance even on the number 1 setting. So basically if you buy this fan you definitely won’t need another one for years. The quality of the metal and it’s assembly is worth the money. I hope this review helps.

Really nice fan. The low setting provides as much air as my old fan on medium. Liw is quieter than medium on my old fan. I LOVE the controls being 12 inches down on the fan. I can reach the speed control/off-on so easily. The remote works. Medium is great. High really moves the air but is of course loud. If you are working on a car when it is 95 out, and it is 100 in the garage, high is for you. What I don’t like: I have this hooked up to a smart plug but tris cannot be. I have to manually restart it by operating the control or using the remote. It is doable but I can’t now say “Alexa, turn on the garage fan”. It does not keep its last speed on once you tell Alexa to turn the garage fan off. It stays off. If you have greasy hands, or there is a power failure, you must manually restart or use the remote. Remotes get lost. So the fan is three steps forward for value, air flow, and lower noise in operation and one step back for power off putting the fan into off mode with no way to use a smart plug with it. Part # 3 is already installed on the control. It is not in the packaging. Remove it, fit the control onto the frame of the stand, and put the screw in to anchor the speed control onto the frame so the control is affixed and not dangling

After reviewing many fans and also looking at a few in stores, I settled on this one. I had a Patton fan from 35 years ago (It was made in the US) now it's made in China. It had better air flow but it was much louder. Bottom line is it has great air flow and not too loud in my opinion. The only problem is the remote and not the fan. It is ultra line of sight. If you are not pointing it right at the unit it won't turn on and even then I click it a few times. Once again, don't hesitate it's a solid-built fan. If you are not mounting it on the ceiling or wall and it will be on the floor, find the same model without the remote and save some money. May The Force Be With You Tony

After reading several reviews and then purchasing this fan, I can say that the reviews were generally accurate, and I'm glad that I bought it. It was easy to set up, and it really does move a lot of air. It is a little bit loud when it's running on full, but not to an abnormal or unexpected level. I have mine set up for an indoor bike trainer (ok, I admit, it's a Peloton), and it's a huge improvement over my old fan, and the remote is great, b/c you can wait to turn it on until you start warming up and then adjust it up or down as needed.

Works great like the controls

I bought this fan just before the big Heat wave on the west coast of Canada 2 weeks ago... this thing feels like it's ready to take off into the sky... it's a very very powerful fan, and a sound to match. It will blow you away... but during a heatwave, it won't necessarily keep you cool because it's just a fan, it's not an air conditioner, at best it will blow whatever air is around it at very high velocity... so during the heatwave, it just blows hot air at you quickly... you need to stick something cold around it to help out like a bucket of ice or something. This has 3 settings of speed... the lowest setting at 1, is most regular fans high setting... 2 is more, and 3 is like you wanna blow grandma's house door down with it. Ok maybe not that bad, but still quite powerful. The thing is loud as heck, even at its lowest setting, so if you live in.... say an apartment like I do, you best put this thing so it's not in direct contact with a wall or ground it will vibrate and make a lot of noise outside of its spinning motor.

Excelente si como yo vives en zonas calurosas y húmedas, la potencia es más que los ventiladores tradicionales y el control funciona perfectamente, ademas se ve bonito y estético para mi gusto. Aunque si lo pones en la máxima potencia pues obviamente hace más ruido de lo normal pero es por lo robusto que es, llevo más de 1 año usándolo y en cuanto pueda me compro otro.

I needed this to blow air over a wet floor and try to air dry while dehumidifying. Such an awesome fan, the remote is handy and works from upstairs. This is the perfect fan before going to hi-end blowers. It may look like a cooling fan and could be used for that on the low setting but on the high setting its meant for passing lots of air so don't complain about the noise, that's physics :)

Éste ventilador es muy útil y sobretodo con su control remoto. Avienta bastante aire y no es muy ruidoso para la potencia que tiene. Si pudiera girarse lateralmente sería un plus porque este sólo se mueve hacia arriba y hacia abajo. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

i use it for indoor cycling (zwift) and this thing works amazing - keeps body temp down even on lowest setting, also pleasantly surprised with how low the sound is.
