Oster Blender 6 Cup Glass Jar, Black Lid

Friday, Dec 31, 2021: I ordered this replacement jar for the one on my Oster Professional Series PST2 that fell and broke. The blurb on Amazon did not include this as a replacement for the PST2 Oster Professional Series jar, but for many other series' jars. Thankfully, I took a chance and ordered it. It DOES fit my PST2 Professional Series blender, AND it holds more. I couldn't be more pleased! The true test will come when I use it tomorrow morning. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022: I used it yesterday and today, and it works BETTER than the original jar, with a wider bottom that makes it easier to clean and easier to get the last of my smoothie. The top is also wider, which makes getting to the bottom easier and I didn't get smoothie all over my hand when trying to get the last bit from the bottom. All in all, a wonderful surprise!

I knocked my original glass blender jar off the counter and it shattered into a million pieces, so I needed an replacement. I researched replacement glass jars on Oster's website and spoke with one of their customer service people to figure out which one would work with my blender, since they had a ton of different ones on their site. Turns out, it was slightly cheaper to order it on Amazon, since ordering it directly from Oster was $10 plus about $8 of shipping (for a total of $18). So, I ordered this replacement from Amazon for a few bucks less. At first I was bummed that it wasn't the exact same shape as the original (which had flat sides) since I liked the look of the original, but after using this replacement, I'm actually liking it more than the original for a few reasons: -The rounded shape makes it MUCH easier to scrape the sides to get out what was blended (so easy now to get out the last bits of blended tomato or smoothie!) -I'm finding the rounded shape is actually a bit easier to clean with the sponge. Not sure if this is legitimate or I'm imagining that it's easier. -This replacement jar (which is 6 cups) is actually slightly bigger than the original (which was 5 cups). That little bit of extra makes makes such a big difference to me. -This replacement has a MUCH BETTER spout, so it's easy to pour without making a mess. Keep in mind, it DOESN'T come with anything at the base - no blade, rubber rings, or plastic base that screws into the blender. Make sure you keep those parts! It DOES come with a plastic lid and the clear plastic dome at the top. Overall, I think $16 is a little much for what it is, but it definitely beats paying $70 to rebuy the whole blender. This glass jar fit my 10 speed Oster 6640 blender!! I'm glad that these glass jars are for the most part standardized. The 6 cup square top plastic jar that comes with the blender cracked at the bottom and it needed to be replaced fast. So, I ordered this 6 cup round glass jar that comes with its own lid. My blender is white but I don't mind the black lid on this round glass jar, it compliments the blender. Anyway, I was primarily looking to replace the square top plastic jar with a square top glass jar, but I didn't find any that were 6 cups. There are square top glass jars that are 5 cups available but the lid I have with the original 6 cup plastic jar would probably not fit, according to other product reviews I read here on Amazon. Lastly, the price seemed very reasonable because it also comes with a lid. Thanks for reading and I hope my review helps!

This fit my old blender perfectly. I dropped and broke the glass on the other one. This one has a rounded top, my old one was squared, but not a problem because this came with the matching lid. HOWEVER, it did NOT come with the filler cap as described and as pictured. So only 4 stars. Thankfully, my old filler cap fits into the new lid. So be sure to keep your measuring cup. Now the pieces came in an Oster box, but it was not sealed. The box even stated that the filler cap was included. Someone obviously took the filler cap out of my box. So maybe check with the seller before you purchase, as the filler cup SHOULD be included, at least as described here. Otherwise, I have no complaints. I'm back to using my blender. Just one final note: make sure you realize that this does not include the blade, the base or the ring seal. It's just the glass, the lid, and, ahem, the (hopefully not missing) filler cap.

This has been a really nice replacement for my original glass jar for my Oster blender. The kids had broken two glass ones, [*sigh*] so I tried a plastic one. Unfortunately, it cracked fairly quickly. So I tried another glass jar. This is a different shape, but it feels much stronger and sturdier when I use it. The thickness of the glass seems like it might fare better than the previous glass jars. The new blades are quite sharp so be careful if you put your fingers in it to clean it. I cut my finger on the blade while washing it. It works better than all the other jars I've used with my blender, so I would heartily recommend it--with the caveat that you might want to keep it away from the kids...even the "grown up" ones!

My wife has recently broken the jar from our blender, which was barely one year old ( Oster Reverse Crush Counterforms Blender, with 6-Cup Glass Jar, 7-Speed Settings and Brushed Stainless Steel/Black Finish ), so we were very happy to find this reasonably priced replacement jar. We particularly like the fact that this jar is made out of glass. This jar is slightly different in model as compared to the original one, but it fits perfectly and works as it should. We are completely satisfied with this purchase, as we love our original Oster blender. Thanks to Amazon for carrying these replacement parts reasonably priced and with fast delivery!

I was cleaning my countertop, turned around and the glass blender part fell to the floor and shattered. This is a nice mid-end blender and for about $20 negated the need to spend maybe $40-50 to replace it. I also recommend the oyster brand. If you have ever used a plastic blender -- you will be amazed at the difference a quality built blender makes -- and Amazon has all the critical parts. Looking for another 5-10+ years with this product. (just downgraded it for durability because it is glass and if it falls to the floor, it shatters) rkkjr

Hasta el momento todo bien ya que si le quedó a mi licuadora, el vidrio si es más delgado que el vaso original, aún no lo pruebo moliendo algo caliente o congelado!!es de 6 tazas! Espero me dure muchos años!

Our old plastic one cracked when it fell off a shelf. The glass replacement is durable and is a worthy replacement. Fits our Oster 6630 12-speed blender perfectly.
