I tried various ways to reattach a piece of wheel well cladding on my Wife's XC70 to no avail. I ended up removing the piece completely, removing the remnants of factory adhesion tape, cleaning both surfaces (cladding and the car's wheel well attach point), applying the 3M 4298 adhesion promoter and re-attached the cladding. The result was that the installation appears exactly like that of the factory installation and has remained so for the past month. Thanks 3M!

After wasting time and money on supposedly 3m vhb tape After exhaustive research I discovered most sold are counterfeit tape. Once I searched for made in USA I discovered this tape. It’s the real deal.

Used this to reattach after-market vent-shade on my Silverado. Easy to use and the vent-shade is attached to my truck just like when I bought it.

The packaging has 3M on it, but the tape does not have any 3M logo on it even though the seller's photo has the 3M logo inside the ring. Every other 3M product I purchased has a 3M logo on it.

Reviewing after almost a year. It doesn’t grip for long. I always use a heat gun before applying it and still doesn’t hold up to the surface 😞

I bought some trim for my car, but after a month it was starting to come off. I took it off, stripped all the old tape off, and reinstalled with this 3M tape. I have an unlimited membership at the car wash across the street from my office, so I get my car washed every day, sometimes twice. It has been several months, at least 100 washes, and the trim is still tightly adhered to the car.
