There is no grip on the base (where the book rests) which causes a lot of slipping. The back is also not very high, so any college size book seems like it would tip over easily. The page clamps are nice (but tough to use at the same time as trying to get the book to stay put. The legs in the back are cheap and don't have any sort of lockout feature.
