There are some moments of friction during the opening and reassembly that take a little bit of elbow grease, but nothing of consequence. I also appreciated that they provide three "keys" to open/close the packages (and one of them even tucks directly inside the lid of the box! Do be aware that once you clear all ten (!!) layers of this package, the center-most layer is quite small - you could probably roll up some folded cash, or maybe a printed gift card... But don't expect to fit too much inside (see photos). Otherwise, this is an absolute blast! Just be sure to re-assemble carefully, as I had gotten to the end of putting it together before realizing all of the pieces were installed upside-down...! (but that's user error, so I'm sure you'll get the hang of it faster than I did). Highly recommend!
