The only picture up shows solid centre and not the removable oval centre that allows hand sanding peice to fit. Any clues anyone?

The description is " Full Circle International Inc. R360 Radius360 Sanding Tool with Interchangeable Center Hub 9-Inch Round" That is what I got. I did not get the one that was a solid part. What I go is the one with Interchangeable Center Hub 9-Inch Round. The image is wrong.

will my exiting sanding pole handle screw directly to this pad?

It has standard 3/4" coarse female threads, so unless you're using a non-standard thread pole like the Super Sander, it should fit.
