The E-Myth Chiropractor: Why Most Chiropractic Practices Don't Work and What to Do about It
G**E
E-Myth; for Chiropractors...good or a pass
The E-Myth for Chiropractors was a good way to stop and reflect, look at your ways of doing things and taking a practical approach to managing your practice from a business perspective without that being your prime consideration in practice because if making money is the only reason then you are in the wrong business. The strength of the book was that it explained how to break down systems of managing the day to day operations while staying grounded on planet earth. No cosmic cures, no "secrets" (we all know where one of those guys now reside) but practical systems to implore. The weakest part of the book was in not accounting for the human element quite enough (example-don't hire family to work for you-may be good for business reasons but reality needs to enter the picture). Also, the "Frank Sinatra" recordings was a very poor analogy; not the same type of business and how many people still think of Sinatra as a big recording star; very out of date. Overall, I give it an 85 on the regular 1-100 scale.

The book is awesome... BUT
A group of us read the book to integrate it into an accountability group that we are in. The book is really great with some very good ideas. BUT... there is very little in the way of actionable steps. There are lots of references to a link for "more information", but none of the links work. We have tried to reach out to both The Michael E Gerber Company, as well as the late Dr. Sovinsky's company SIDECAR, to try and get working links. We have been really patient, since it was the holidays, but a month later, we were unable to get working links.Great ideas, and things to think about, but the thought is that there may be more actionable items in the links, that as of now are unavailable. I will update this review if we are able to get them.

Every chiropractor should read twice in chiropractic school
They call it like it is. Yes, all should read it twice. The problem is, everyone's ego is involved and thinks they know better.

Helpful
This book is informative and can help those of us in the profession look at business in a different way. I've been practicing for almost 30 years and the business of chiropractic has changed but not Chiropractic.

Couldn't put it down
I don't exactly read TON of chiropractic business books, but this is the best I have read in a while. It doesn't get into the specifics of a lot of things, but works at developing a VIEW of your practice, money, patients, and life. It helped to change my thoughts from merely technical to more managerial.

Advisor, mentor, and personal trainer
By far the best book I read besides e-myth. This book gives me the clarity that I always looking for. Many thanks to both Michael and Frank.

Just started it, seems I am not alone.
So contemporary, examples are real for any DC who had stood the test of time and is looking to move forward. Do you own your office, or does it own you ? See things from someone else's eyes to gain perspective.

Great book
Most doctors fail to realize that their practice is a business. This book helps the dr to set up systems so that the office runs smoothly which allows the doctor to focus on taking care of patients.

worth the read but be prepared for a lot of graft!!
changed the way my office operates and definitely reduced my dependence on individuals. Common sense, nice to have it laid out, motivated me to create it too!
