After 2.5 years of daily use…
It’s ugly but it works. Definitely discolored. I might get a replacement. But I would prefer stainless steel.

Got house keys? Office keys? Big car fob? This is the guy for you.
This sure works for all that. With a minimum of added mass.I've got 3 home keys, two office keys, a car fob that seems pretty big to me, and a couple of little things I could do without but still come in handy now and then. Ideally, it would be nice to rid myself of some of the batches when unneeded.This does all of that without adding any additional mass to carry around. A lot of other things, cases, pull-apart rings, just about double what you have to carry around. Not this guy. It's pretty compact.And to my mind, it really looks good. I've got the black pearl version and it seems very rich looking.The carabiner part is thick. You couldn't get a key on it but you can get a car fob on it, which is perfect. And you can take it right off if necessary. Easy peasy as they say.The two key rings that come with it match nicely. These aren't the kind you see every day. They're prettier, thicker and they're tough - getting the keys on was pretty brutal - but nothing's going anywhere and they look very nice along with the carabiner., which they match.If there's any weak link in in the system at all, and I'm dubious, I suppose the carabiner could open up and release something. I'm not too worried about that. Because of the ring shape, you'd not only have to push it down, but push it down a whole lot to get enough space to take something off. It would be hard to get everything lined up inadvertently. But things come off easily enough if you're paying attention to it and using both hands.

chromed coating wore off after 2 months
the fob stood up well for a couple years but then I noticed it had trouble closing. spring mechanism completely broken now. the chromed finish wearing off 2 months after purchase wasn't such a big deal (despite the "lifelong" advertising claim), but this malfunction could've resulted in keyrings falling off had I been less aware. only buy this if you're looking for a cheap stopgap before a better quality item is available.

If you have lots of keys, this makes managing them easy
I have lots of keys between work, home, cars, storage, etc. and heard that carrying them all around on your key chain can be bad for the ignition switch of your car. Plus I didn't want to carry around multiple different key rings to separate them all. I wanted a solution where I could just bring the keys that I needed for whatever I was doing, so I searched and decided to try out this key ring.I must say that I am loving having it. Now I can have a separate ring for the keys that I need for different situations and just clip them into this ring to bring with me when I need them. When I'm driving I can just unclip my car keys and put the ring with the other keys in my pocket or toss them in the middle console until I arrive at my destination then clip them all back together. Switching in and out the keys is quick and painless and now I don't have to carry a million keys with me everywhere I go.

Just what I was looking for
This works perfectly for what I was looking for. May not be perfect for all though:Pro:1) Size, Just the right size to link multiple rings together. This doesn't get so long that it dangles and hits my knee (Only an issue if you still have a key that goes into ignition on the steering column...)2) Clasp tightness, my prior ring did not close very tightly and keys were constantly falling off.3) Finish - very nice. Wonder about durability though. Naked stainless or aluminum would have been fine with me.Weaknesses:1) If you like to clip a carabiner onto your clothes, this is not probably for you with circular design.2) Durability, really doubt that the finish on this will last for "life"

Really Nice Keychain
I really like this keychain and am still using it but it's not "lifelong" as the finish wore off of it. I bought a black finish and it's now turning a gold color (that isn't pretty) but it still works and I like it. I got it so I could take my keys on and off the ring easily and it does that. It doesn't come open and I might buy another one in the future but not the black finish.

Perfect
Bought it to use as a clip for a tail that I also purchased on amazon. It is the perfect size. Not too bulky, but very sturdy.

Color fades fast
Very functional, still works great, but about a month after receiving the black coating had worn off entirely. Its now like a weird copper color.
