It was discounted significantly and while it is not the newest with the teardrop notch and underscreen finger print scanner, this is a superb phone that does all the basics well.It is fast, superfast. Nothing that I have thrown at this phone as slowed it down.The battery lasts for ages. I am not a heavy user but I could easily get a day and half out of this phone with bluetooth and WIFI on, some music listening, lots of surfing and messagingIt has the 3.5mm headphone jack. I am not strongly on one side or other for this one but it is easier not to have to use an adapter so that you can use your existing headphones.Android 9 updates immediately when you turn on the phoneThe finger print scanner on the back is fast and accurate. For me having a physical finger print scanner is better as I can unlock my phone without having to look at it.The camera is good enough. I use the phone camera for impromptu snaps not as my main camera and it does the jobThe screen is big, bright, beautiful and clear.The notch - I am not a fan of the notch (on any phone) and I have turned on the setting to hide this. I like the fact that notifications and time still show in this area so it is not wasted space and the screen is still plenty big enough.Quite simply a stunning phone especially considering the discounted price following the release of the 6T ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great phone *by D***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 November 2018* A great and a very affordable phone. Has all the current feature you need, like face unlock and a quick fingerprint scanner. Updated to the latest version of android straight away. Has loads of space, a great screen and a headphone jack! The camera is good for the price you pay (probably the only drawback I've found, as it does not compete with the likes of Pixel or Galaxy S9). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice phone, everything works, not as big as you'd think *by P***T on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 February 2019* Moved from a Google Pixel to this, thought about a Pixel 3 but too expensive with too many issues. This is cheaper, it all works and it'll still get security updates. The extra features added to stock are all good ones that really should be in stock Android anyway. I wanted a bigger phone to help with my failing eyesight and it does that nicely. It's also big enough to read from as a sort of Kindle, in emergencies, and with reading mode is more than acceptable. This went straight to 9.0.3 so may have missed issues but sound is more than good enough, phone quality was really good, over wifi, where as the Pixel sounded like it was underwater and missed a lot of what was said. Watched a film, good size screen for that, listened to sounds via wires in ear, cheap, headphones and it was great.The fact you get a rubber case in the box and a screen-protector pre-applied is a simple but really nice touch, no need to order these and wait before you feel comfortable using it outside.There's a little bloat but by no means much and it can all be removed/replaced with stock Google apps anyway.Dash charge is very impressive, only used it once so far and will be using a standard charger overnight anyway (force of habit).So for a sub-£500 phone, this is excellent and takes me back to when phones were this good at this price normally.Oh, camera, seems fine so far, 8x zoom which is good. I only take snaps like most people and it'll do that for sure, without losing them (Pixel 3) and without crashing (Pixel 3).If you weren't sure about a Pixel 3 compared to this, get this. My first time off the Google phone wagon for years but they've forced me to do that. I can't risk £700+ an a buggy device when the Pixel 1, using the same software, was fine, just ageing and becoming a bit small.This phone, I was sure I'd picked the matte black but got the mirror black anyway.
