You can spend hundreds of dollars on a shower head.
We just finished a shower remod. I spec'd Delta fixtures figuring it important to install the plumbing components that I trust that actually fit behind the tile. There are a lot of beautiful plumbing fixtures available that have warranties but those warranties don't cover any damage or the inconvenience of repairs if they fail. The Delta stuff was expensive! But I'm okay with that because of my quality concerns. The good news is that the shower head isn't important quality wise to spend hundreds of dollars on and also we might want to change the head from time to time as an upgrade unlike the faucet controls that are there until you're ready to replace your shower. This NearMoon Square Rain Shower Head is very inexpensive and it looks great. It came with everything. The Delta brand shower head that looks similar to this one and is a match to our fixtures was over $200. There's not much that can go wrong with a shower head. There's no moving parts. This one has a little filter to catch stuff that might clog the various jets. You'd just have to remove the head from the pipe to inspect the filter if the flow seems weakened. The spray pattern is perfect. We have good water pressure but when I lower the volume the pattern stays the same. The finish on the one we bought is very good. I can see why Amazon has a top rating on this shower head.

High-quality shower head
Tried taking off the old piping to put the straight pipe for the proper 90 degree angle, but couldn’t see way of attaching it without welding it to the wall piping. Don’t fell like paying extra to have someone do it. I just unscrewed the old shower head and attached this one. Still miles better than the old shower heads. I get way more body coverage and the pressure is just right—not too light or heavy. Very soothing. Had it on for 2 years and no problems. Highly recommend this product.

High-Flow Rainfall Showerhead
We remodeled our bathroom and put in a 3x5 glassed in shower. I originally put a traditional showerhead and it was not a good use of the space. We decided to get this rainfall showerhead, and it installed well and seems to work great. Its been in for a couple of months now without any issues. It looks, feels, and fits well. The Rod seated well in the fitting in the wall and holds the showerhead well. My only concern is that it retains water after shutting off. If you tap the edge of the showerhead after the water has stopped flowing, water will fall from each silicone nozzle and continue to do so for 20+ taps. This makes me think that rust, calcium, etc. may build up in there over time, but that is just speculation. Overall, I am very impressed by this showerhead. We have quite a bit of calcium in our water and the nozzles seem to still flow well. I've had some in the past that end up having a nozzle clog up every couple of weeks.

Still working great after over 2 years - but a few rust spots on the pipe and collar showing up
Great Shower Head - I installed it in early 2019 and over 2 years later it's still working great. So much better than a regular small one... Nozzles don't clog, no leaks and even stream of water out of all nozzles. I positioned the head on a slight tilt - this way it drains quickly when you turn off the water... Tilt does not impact flow out of the nozzles that are higher. I read some reviews where it does and suspect you either don't have enough flow rate or not enough pressure (running 35-55 psi coming from a well - don't notice a difference in flow between the low and high psi shutoffs) Installation was easy - I was a bit worried how to take the old extension off and add this one - but a little Teflon tape and it was easy. I built a support under the part of the extension that is in the Granite wall so it does not sag and as you can see it's still perfectly positioned now - photo was taken the day the review was written... Why not 5 stars: Some rust spots starting to show on the extension arm/pipe and collar. Those spots are from humidity as that area never gets hit by water... I am tempted to see how much longer before it looks ugly - or maybe upgrade to the 18x18 with the longer extension and enjoy it even more...

Treat Yourself
I bought this shower head in November of 2018 and I'm still happy with it. My in-laws liked it so much that I bought one for them for Christmas. Quality: Somewhat heavy and made from durable material. The shower head came with some replacement parts (washers, filter, and extra rubber nozzle spouts). Pressure: If you are looking for something that will deliver dagger-like water pressure, this is not the product that you want; however, the water pressure is surprising good. It truly feels like you are caught in a heavy rain shower. Imagine the type of rainfall where you are parked five feet from the building you are wanting to enter, and you get drenched from the five seconds it takes for you to get out of your car and enter into the building. That's the type of force we are talking about. Installation: Installation was simple. If you are not handy around the house, don't let that stop you from getting this product. There are plenty of helpful videos on YouTube that will walk you through installing a shower arm and head. Installing the arm is not that much harder than installing the head. It helps to have a pair of channel locks/tongue and groove pliers. I was afraid that I might damage something at first and didn't put much power behind removing the original arm. Then I manned up and put some power behind it. No issues. The shower head comes with pipe thread tape. As many YouTube videos will instruct, wrap the thread five to eight times. Water Usage: I haven't bothered to compare the water usage that this shower head uses to prior ones, but I'm guessing it uses a lot more. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. Coverage: This is the real deal. I don't even mind showering with the wife. Still enough water so that I'm not left in the cold. Other Notes: I really haven't had too many issues with the shower head dripping. It's happened a few times and I just tilted the head for a bit and let the excess water drain out for a few seconds. Then I straightened out the shower head and the dripping stopped. I'm glad that I got the straight arm that comes with this shower head, instead of an adjustable one that comes with others. I think an adjustable arm for this product would be too weak, since the shower head has some good weight (quality) to it.

What started as dread, ended with complete excitement......
I ordered this yesterday and it arrived on my porch early this AM (I don’t even pretend to understand the sorcery of Amazon’s next day shipping) and I was excited. That quickly turned to dread when I opened my package and found the dreaded return label smacked on the front of this shower head, showing me I was sent a product that had been previously returned for an unknown (to me) reason. It was furthermore strengthened when I noticed what appeared to be water spots on the shower head itself.....but everything else looked completely untouched/unopened so I came to the conclusion it was likely this product wasn’t actually used but possibly just handled by another customer. My husband had our old shower head taken out and this one installed within a few minutes, he said it was very simple. He had absolutely no issues with the installation or the actual product at any time. It worked immediately exactly as it was supposed to. Time will tell if it continues to work just as good. The product itself is large.....in fact, if I didn’t have a large garden tub I believe this would be too big for us. With the extender it was perfect for us, exactly what I was looking for. It takes a second to “rain” but that’s how all rain shower heads (the really expensive professionally installed and these kind) are. Once it begins to rain it is AMAZING, it flows perfectly. It does come with a filter (and a replacement one as well), and it’s vital to make sure it’s clean and changed as this is a big factor in whether or not it becomes built up or clogged. Overall, this is a great value for quality shower head. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for this size rain shower head. I will update if anything changes, but I can’t imagine this will give us any problems as long as we maintain it.

Head injuries await!!
.01 out of 5 stars At first, I thought I was upgrading to a spa-like experience with this rain down shower head and arm. The water pressure? Delightful. The aesthetic? Pinterest-worthy. For two glorious weeks, I felt like royalty. Then one morning, the shower decided I was the problem. Without warning, the arm snapped clean off and the entire metal shower head came crashing down—right on my head. Apparently, this model includes a surprise concussion feature. Who knew? Nothing wakes you up faster than a rogue hunk of metal to the skull. I can now confirm: this is the most aggressive form of hydrotherapy on the market. If you’re into danger, excitement, and surprise head injuries before work, this is the product for you. If not, maybe skip this one and invest in a shower head that doesn’t double as a booby trap.
