Best car mount for cells!
I recommend this product to anyone looking for a car mount! This works perfectly for me! It has an adjustable clamp that holds it securely to the vent, so there's no sliding around or bouncing up & down, or sagging, coming loose, nothing! Even going over pot holes the clamp has not budged! The circular head of the mount is a nice rubberized magnet & this is also adjustable, it can be moved in any direction 360 degrees & you can tighten it all the way to stay in one position, loosen it so it still moves stiffly or loosen it completely, so it has a range of options. I put the metal plate between my Samsung cell phone & the thin silicone case i have on it & the magnet mount head had no problem quickly attracting my phone straight to it, holding it there in place while i drive over potholes, bumps etc, and it does not budge! They give you the plain metal square plate you can put between your case and your phone, which i used, and they give you 2 adhesive metal plates (1 square & 1 round) if you want to stick it to your phone/case. I see all these reviews warning against the magnet & credit cards...For anyone questioning the magnet being safe, etc...the plates that stick to your phone ARE NOT MAGNETS, they are only METAL PLATES so they will not harm your credit cards, having your phone in your purse/near your wallet, etc etc The only magnet is the actual head of the car mount, so you dont want to have the wallet phone cases with the credit cards inside them & stick it to the mount, obviously, otherwise there is nothing to worry about! I closed the vent it's on so the heat isn't blowing on my cell phone so that isnt an issue. Overall, the quality of the product is excellent, in my opinion, it's the best mount I've ever owned. For less than $10, I am extremely pleased with this product!!!UPDATE: this lasted 3yrs before the clamp attached to the vent finally cracked, which I couldn't ask for more than 3yrs for less than $10! I ordered a new one, same exact model, and when I received it it seemed to be defective... the ring to tighten just kept spinning and it wouldn't stay in place. I contacted the seller and they sent me out a replacement within a few days without any hassle or any further inconvenience! Received new one with no problem and it worked just as well as my original! Highly recommend!

Great portable mount for the cell phone on the go
I bought this one to carry with me while travelling on business. It is easy to carry, fixes nicely on virtually any rental car and keeps fixed while driving. Cell phone gets well fixed and does not drop from the dashboard. While small to carry, fixes great on car vents.A must for my business travels. Reasonably priced and work great.

Best vent phone holder there is/allows manual adjustment...
This was a good product. It arrived in appropriate packaging that did not allow for it to be thrown about. The metal piece without the adhesive did not work for my phone case because it has a credit card holder on it. I used the rectangular adhesive metal. So far, the adhesive is staying on the back of the phone case but I will update this later. I have vertical vents and tried on the notch above the bottom notch of the vent. The phone did not set up so I can see the display as I wanted it to. I tried it on the bottom notch and it was perfect. It does cover the navigation display but I can live with that. All in all, I think this is a good purchase and may be best with the horizontal vents but works well with the vertical vents as well.Update: I just purchased another for my other vehicle. It addresses my top concerns with phone holders:-Holding the phone and not letting it fall-The unit itself not falling - it does this by allowing you to manually tighten the unit to the vent; the tighter the better and I have not yet had a broken vent because of how tight it was-tilt adjustment - the unit allow you to control the tilt of the phone manually. You just tighten it as much as possible (it being the circular portion right behind the magnet) and you can tilt anyway you like without it moving. My only con, and it may be big for elderly users, is that extreme force had to be applied to tighten.

Great product
Exactly as advertised. Ideal solution to phone and beats all the numerous competitors on the market.Easy to use and easy to move from car to car. Sturdy and completely invisible when phone is in place.Strong magnet and strong twist lock that hugs air vents. Price is also very reasonable.Would recommend to a friend.

great mechanism, some reservations
1. I like the "active" clamp mechanism that tightly squeezes the fin of an air vent. It will loosen over the first few days, but cranking down some more on it will tighten it long term. The foam or inside material compresses and requires retightening. I wonder how most other simple inserts work at all; I'm under the assumption that they will come out of the air vent attached to the phone...2. I can only compare this magnet to one other product I bought and this magnet is definitely not as strong as a competitor's product. I ended up using the magnet from another magnet mount because it was considerably better. Despite the magnet strength being considerably less than the other one I have, I would say this magnet would have no problem holding a phone or even a heavy phablet with no case. It was nowhere near strong enough to hold an iphone 6 with a fairly thick case on it.3. the ball mount on the magnet assembly is very convenient and allows you to position the phone to face the driver easily. Awkward to do once it's mounted on the air vent so I recommend positioning the magnet first, then tightening it to the air vent second.4. the magnet head could have been mounted just a little further from the air vent
