More rigid than you would expect
Pros:CheapEffective for taking more than one gun to the rangeGuns stay well in placeProtects guns more than adequatelyCons:Quality control could be better(Butt's of guns do fall outside the line of the cradle)I bought this item since I wanted the G.P.S. Large Range Bag, but liked the idea of this from the G.P.S. Handgunner bag. In the end I decided to buy the first and simply add this. The result was great! This item is definitely very rigid. Using adequate strength it does not change shape at all, and it holds the gun in place fairly well. I was used to taking guns to the range in 4 different zippered cases, and I never knew which gun was where, or what accessories. And it was a mess! I bought this although it doesn't hold any accessory besides the gun (obviously), it does hold the gun quite well, and it fits in just about any shoulder range or duffel bag.As mentioned in other reviews, there is a bulge on the bottom for the trigger guard to rest on. The foam is very dense (hard), and will hold guns perfectly without anything else, and it will hold anything between a tiny Ruger LCP or a big .45.Just remember, never use this item with loaded guns. Stay safe guys!If you have a sec to give a thumbs up, that would be great, too. Thanks for reading.

Perfect fit
Fits into range bag perfectly and securely holds pistols nicely and doesn’t allow movement so no marring of finish. Good product.

Great little cradle
I got this wanting something soft, yet fairly rigid to hold 3 pistols. It's great! It fits perfectly inside my small Barska AX11224 safe. The slots hold my Glock 17, SIG P224, and Colt 1911 upright and the foam is rigid enough that there is no risk of them falling over. It's easy to slip the pistols in and back out. The front to back depth lets the muzzle of the Glock and Colt 1911 protrude just slightly so I used some rubber cement to attach a 1" thick piece of egg-crate foam to the back of the safe and butted the holder up against the foam. Now my full-sized pistols are protected front and side yet still easily removed since the bottom of the grips sticks out just a little. The smaller P224 is totally enclosed. The picture of the holder doesn't show it but there are 2 humps inside the slots so the trigger guard hits the front one to prevent the gun from going in too far; the back hump acts as a support for the bottom of the receiver. All in all, each pistol is held securely in place. This thing is very light but the foam is very dense. I imagine it will hold up to years of use.

Not bad for certain uses.
The packaging and the amazon page both list this as for "4 medium frame pistols". That's it in a nutshell. If you get down into the size of an LCP or a Keltec P-32, they disappear into the holder. Get into around a Keltec PF-9 or a Ruger LC9 and that is just about the ideal size. By the time you get to a full sized 1911 or a Beretta 92 the muzzle will stick out an inch and a half or so, and the handle will stick out the other end by about an inch or a bit more.Revolvers over the size of a j-frame are not likely to fit. A GP-100 doesn't want to play nicely enough to warrant the risk.If you speak often of "fit and finish" and you know what counts as fit and what counts as finish, you'll probably be disappointed with how this is assembled. If you are looking for a cheap way to hold your pistols in place while on the firing range, this is your ticket. It is made from what looks like 6 separate pieces, the base and 5 uprights. The base is not flat, but has stubs for the 5 uprights, which reduces the chance that a fat pistol will over stress a joint and damage it.If you've got a touch of OCD and are not going to be happy unless this is packed neatly right into the corner of your gun safe, then for anything over the size of the compact pistols I mentioned, maybe a Glock 23 at most, you'll be unhappy. If you're okay with it sitting out from the back of the safe a bit, or if you are using this to hold guns on the range, you'll be happier.

Fits and range back pack
I bought a range back pack that did come with the foam spacers. And it came out cheaper buying thus way than buying a bag that came with the foam spacers.

Nice!
I have this in a gun safe to hold my Beretta 92FS. It is an inexpensive way to lend some utility and convenience to your safe home gun storage solution. Before i purchased this product I kept my handgun on its side in the bottom of the safe. This inexpensive product is a great way to achieve safer and more convenient access to your firearm once you swing open that trusty safe.

I strongly reccomend this product.
I do not often give 5 stars unless the item is all but life changing. I can't really say this changes my life for the better, but, concerning my weapons, I was very tired of having sometimes 5 pistols in my range bag laying around protected only with the holsters. I ran across this product while I was looking for bulk foam blocks to make my own. I was very impressed with how sturdy it is and couldn't really fit into my range bag much more perfectly. light weight and I have no doubt it will protect my guns. I have a S&W Shield 9mm, Beretta M9, Beratta FS 92 .380, and a Glock 23. All fit snugly, easy to put into and remove from the holder. So, from Compact to full size you should have no problem.
