Dream Essentials Contoured Sleep Mask, Black

Hey folks - I got one of these 10 years ago and found it in a drawer. I started using it because there was light keeping me awake, and then light waking me up. These plus Loop Brand earplugs get me to avoid the light and noise, and sleep well! I truly love this product and got one for my wife!

They are comfortable and they work.

I always have a sleep mask handy. I am a night owl and often sleep into the late morning. And in hotels or at friend's places, it just seems like morning people don't understand the meaning of "blackout shades" :) This one is super light, as advertised, and the fabric and construction seem to be good. And, as advertised, there is plenty of room for your eyes and eyelashes to move around.But the nose area is a problem. It does not have enough "give" to contour to the nose properly, and so there are gaps in a place where a light beam is going to very easily strike your eye, defeating the purpose of the mask. I tried adjusting the strap, where the strap fell, where the mask sits - and the only way to get the gap smaller meant the mask started pinching my nose, or the strap was at a place on the back of my head that was not comfortable. So I can only give this 3 stars...

It is very comfortable but I took off a star because it no longer comes with a protective bag.

I am so glad I purchased this sleep mask. It doesn't press on your eyes. It's lightweight and the contoured section that goes over your eyes is perfect. It was easy to fit to my head. It is totally dark even when I use it in direct sunlight coming through my bedroom window. I loved the price and am very happy with my purchase.

The plastic sleeve that the mask arrived in was sticky. There was some sticky yellow substance on the outside and inside of the sleeve.The mask itself has a bad strong smell like vinegar.Gross and sketchy shipping, but I guess I'll hand wash the mask to see if the smell goes away.I gingerly put the mask to my face and it seems like it blocks out the light well, except for little cracks around the nose. When I position the strap higher on my head, it mitigates that issue. The material and fit is comfortable at first try on. I haven't tried sleeping with it yet.

This is a repeat buy for me. These masks are formed such that you can open your eyes when the mask is in place. I like that better than masks that cling to your eyelids

I have purchased Dream Essentials eye masks before and will continue to do so. I loved the very first one I purchased. I use it every day and it is still in great shape after 3 years. They are made to last and extremely comfortable.
